If Fax is not your criteria (I dont know many technologists who now use FAX, when you have emails, etc), then Samsung 4200/4300 is the best bet.. Plus Samsung spares are also easily available, and its also stubborn in using after-market or refilled cartridges...

If you wish to use AIO for the benefit of space, then all right.

but otherwise, AIO's are supposed to be white elephants, they do not give the same cost effectiveness compared to stand alones.

I am currently using a lexmark AIO, and the cost per print if i have to go for comes to Rs.13/- per page.

I will surely offload it some time and get something more cost effective.. otherwise the scan, fax works wonderfully.

Rs. 13 per page for printing?? :Ohhhh:

I am sure its a typo and you meant Rs. 0.13 per page

(Assuming that you are printing in a laser printer, BLACK Ink)

canon copy,print,scan 4320d == 13k

copy,print,scan and fax 4350d == 16k

(I dont know many technologists who now use FAX, when you have emails, etc),

after reading this i was wondering when was the last time when i used fax.. leave fax

do you feel samsung is good? means cost effective my load will be some where around 50-100 pages per day.

Laser printers are made or rather built to print atleast 50 pages a day.. (thats what I feel).. But thn, on second thoughts, if this is going to be your requirements, then please search for bigger ones (dont know the technical name), but something like in offices.. they might cost more (50K plus)...

50-100 pages a day.. yaar, kya print karne wale ho (unless you are the owner of a corporation)... :)

I would recommend Samsung SCX-4521F. It cost me Rs. 12100 around 3 months back. Have two of these. Are AIO (Printer/Scanner/Fax/Copier). Very good, sturdy and cost effective. Also, in this patricular model you can refill the toner yourself in less than 5 minutes. The cost of refilling comes to be Rs. 75 per refill.

Dear Pulkit, as you are in Travel Agency business, then you should go for laser printer only. And then use the refilled toner for your printing needs. You can get approximately 1000 (even upto 1500 also) prints with refilled toner cartridges if you are printing text only.

Although as a Graphic Designer, I never recommend Refilled Toners / Refilled Ink cartridges, because I always insists on quality for my printing needs due to certain reasons.

But for you dear Pulkit, refilled toners will fit the best. :) As I'm assuming that you are going to print TEXT ONLY. :)

Try searching for HP Multi Function Printer.

Samsung is cost effective but many of its print cartridges can't be refilled.

Best printer to go for would be HP. I did some research before I got my Printer 3 years back. The person I spoke to works at a printer cartridge refilling shop. He told me that canon & Epson cartridges can't be refilled. I did not enquire about Samsung as it was not very popular at that period of time. I got a hold f 4288 print scan copy for 3400rs in chennai. I have been using my Printer without any problems & also refilling them without any problems. Before you buy any printer enquire about the price of the cartridge because the printer companies make their money on cartridges not printers. Sent from my Motorola Photon 4G

For the last 6 years, I am using samsung mfd with fax, copier, scan and printing without any problem. It is user friendly for refilling also. But when I got the problem of bulb in the Scaning area, the same could not be provided by the company. It is not a networking printer. Hence I researched and got wifi networking printer of Brother and now I am able to scan and print even from my motorala photon or iPhone. I am happy with this brother printer. If networking and wifi functionality is not necessary, just I will suggest samsung laser printer with fax option but this prater does not support duplex printing.

better to check the CISS (Continuous Ink Supply System) compatibility too, as it is cost effective alternate of refilling, before making the decision..

@alok thats why I just checked this epson T200 it has CIS.Any other model which have CIS do you suggest?

@volstagg Its true that printer company earn more from the cartridge then selling printer that's why I can invest in a printer but want low running cost

@ashokb & gurugopal My local vendor recommended not to go for color laser printer as they have higher refilling cost.
