Will MNP Help "The Big 3 Cartel"?

Recommended Posts

CDMA operators loosing the game coz:

1. lack of good handsets as per cost & features

2. RUIM & OMH thing are not made popular

3. Poor data plans on mobile

4. You can't use same RUIM on mobile and data card!

5. You cant send longer SMS at one go! :(

etc etc

6. they are not paying enough attention to their network (especially reliance,).

I have noticed an improvement in Rcom CC, I am getting call from reliance every 2-3 days as I had applied for MNP (though rejected).

6. Costly EV-DO plans on LOCKED USB Modems, by pvt operators...

7. Slow (Tata) and Lack of quality (BSNL and RCdma) in EV-DO coverage expansion...

8. NO COMPETITION FROM PSUs to private players in CDMA Land(Even BSNL staffs knows nothing about OMH RUIMS)

9. Fake activations NOT as easy and fast as in GSM (to show HEAVY subscriber addition every now and then)...

the biggest problem is OMH ignorance not only from ppl but also from media.i know many with HIGH arpu with voice only usage for whom the drawbacks listed dont make any diff if they were to shift to cdma .but it is OMH ignorance which plays the spoilsport.

The mobile number portability seems to have hit hard the state owned telecom players. While Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) lost 131,581 customers Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd's (MTNL) subscriber base declined by 5,869 customers after number portability ( MNP) service was introduced.

Seeking to arrest the erosion in their customer base following introduction of number portability, BSNL and MTNL have come up with measures to address customer grievances and improve service quality, the Lok Sabha was informed.

"The operators have also introduced competitive tariff plans apart from giving additional incentives to distributors and retailers," Minister of State for Communications and Information & Technology Sachin Pilot said in a written reply.

As many as 223,824 customers ported out of BSNL while only 92,243 ported into its network, which means a decline of 131, 581 users, while MTNL's subscriber base declined by 5,869 customers after number portability service was introduced.

The companies will also conduct close monitoring of network operation through information technology-enabled systems, which include introduction of CDR (call data records)-based billing, commercial and fault repair service and work order management system.

Airtel, BSNL, Reliance, and Tata have pan India network.

They have landline to support (Schemes like mobile to LL Free)

When it comes to roaming, network coverage, LL support the above four are on top.

if you think about calls to landlines, get bsnl!!

Vodafone are entering LL: http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/news/news-by-industry/telecom/vodafone-to-enter-landline-business/articleshow/7561220.cms

Rudradeep, the reason behind BSNL stopping the unlimited 3G is obviously the misuse of the very unlimited nature by many consumers. It is reported/claimed that downloads of many BSNL users exceeded over 900 GB :Ohhhh: in a month, which choked the network, causing drop in quality.

Anyway they should have set a higher cap, say 75Gb instead of 15Gb. We are shelling out Rs.750 p.m. mister!

BSNL unlimited 3G plans had a FUP of 300GB/month! But BSNL is too lazy to implement it on its users!

But still I feel 3G is not a replacement of wired broadband, and if it is,in that case 25-50GB at Rs 1500 would be good.

:rofl_200: :rofl_200: :rofl_200: :rofl_200:

Private players have only 10% (or even less) of staff strength comparing BSNL, but capable of doing more than twice the job done comparing BSNL... I AM NOT AT ALL GOING TO SAY ABOUT THE SALARY DIFFERENCES, WHICH ARE VERY OBVIOUS...

So with lazy-unenthusiastic-over_paid-non_performing team, the very existence of BSNL till date is a great wonder...

Do those staffs have any target to achieve?

Any Retention team available in BSNL?

Any question arises on high churn rates? (still Pilot not blaming staffs)

Any penalty for NOT meeting target?

Any service guarantee for customer? (like in TataCdma or AirtelBB)

Any limit for DOWN-TIME?

Why Labour strike happens minimum once a year? (May be due to VERY LOW SALARY)

Why especially on strike days the service STILL deteriorates (from worse to horrible)???

Even with SOOO many towers, why there is signal and coverage issues (Even with 900MHz waves on 2G)???

Why they dance to tune of Cartel??

All private operators have enemies on other's tent... But BSNL has all their enemies within their tent...

Awesome joke! rofl_200.gif Everybody knows that their biggest problem is network quality and customer service. They think they can ignore these primary issues by simply giving better incentives to distributors and competitive tariffs?
