-Choice of Handsets - 3/5

-Quality of Customer Service - 2/5

-Depth & Quality of HSIA (High Speed Internet - EVDO) Network & 1x - 4/5

-Data Tariffs - 3/5

i have used all the 3,but dipan has summarised nicely the reasons.

at present coverage wise in ap/tn MTS is next to rcom

customer care service better than rcom.but resolution from mumbai ,have been prompt .

tariff wise both are at par.

used tata 2-3 before ,and even in chennai they used to have poor network

hv used relaince and tata atm..found tata more better w.r.t to voice and data...relaince though maybe hving more options in handsets still the basic purpose of a phone tht is communication is just pathetic ...

with worst experiences as call not connecting...phone coming busy even thogh the phone is not in use...unnecessary phone calls to recharge the cell ..i found tata more user friendly ...

as stated by others, RCOM has one the best coverage and voice quality in CDMA. I've used MTNL Garuda. i sed it for few days and then decided never ever touch Garuda.

have not used any other service provider. i dont think many have used more than 2 service providers. MNP is also such that u have to wait for 90 days in order to migrate to other. so no chance to test various networks...

I think it is unfair to caste a vote, since have used only 1 CDMA service provider. But having used RCDMA for a while now vote goes to it.

My vote goes to Tata Indicom of course.

  • Depth & Quality of Nationwide Voice Network Coverage - 5/5, much better than RCDMA
  • Voice, SMS, RoamingTariffs - cheapest in the industry 5/5
  • Choice of Handsets - Not that good 3/5, but rimweb is there for this
  • Quality of Customer Service - 4.5/5
  • Depth & Quality of HSIA (High Speed Internet - EVDO) Network & 1x - Very good 5/5
  • Data Tariffs - Best one, be it EVDO or 1X. Beyond comapre 5/5
  • Whether allows Imported Handsets & EVDO Data on it? - Officially no, but :Chulo: I'm using Fascinate.

Our forum is for RDCMA basically, so there will be much more vote for RCDMA, this is true. But on many counts, TI is way ahead.

TATA

I have earlier used RCdma and now using MTS for 3x data...

-Depth & Quality of Nationwide Voice Network Coverage

Depth :- 2.5

Quality :- 4.5

So Average is 3.5/5

-Voice, SMS, RoamingTariffs

5.0/5 (ALL THREE ABOVE)

-Choice of Handsets (excl. OMH)

0.5/5

-Quality of Customer Service

4.0/5

-Depth & Quality of HSIA (High Speed Internet - EVDO) Network & 1x

HSIA-Depth :- 1.0/5

HSIA-Quality :- 3.0/5

1x Depth :- 3.0/5

1x Quality :- 3.0/5

So Average :- 2.5/5

-Data Tariffs

3.0/5

-Whether allows Imported Handsets & EVDO Data on it?

0.0/5

-Follows Ethics and NOT cheats???

5.0/5

-Performance of Retention team :winko: ??

5.0/5

-Special services for corporate customers?

5.0/5

-The Network quality/clarity of their GSM wing, if you want to jump away from their CDMA service(due to their handset policy) ?

5.0/5

AVERAGE gives 3.5/5 (38.5/55) for TATA...

Though TATA fails for all the questions of RajanBhai, I am still using TataCDMA due to the FULL marks it got for my last FOUR questions...

So TATA for me...

I have specified the DEPTH of voice network coverage as 2.5 and DEPTH of 1x coverage as 3.0... For me 1x need NOT work in some very remote areas, where TATA has poor coverage, so that EXTRA 0.5 point weightage for 1x coverage DEPTH...

My rating of Tata Indicom would have been identical to yours, if the

recent billing related problem would not have cropped up. It was a

nightmare dealing with customer care, for the first time in 4 years.

So my current rating of customer service which till last month was 5/5,

is now 1/5 as is the case for "following ethics and not being cheats".
