They claim it to be on FTTH(Fiber to the Home) technology.

Quite unbelievable!!!!

I feel there's something hidden.....

BSNL has FTTH in Hyderabad based on Gigabyte Passive Optical Technology (GPON) concept, they are most probably using that.

Not really, won't you take a 10 mbps connection with 30 GB limit and 2 mbps thereafter for 1000 bucks per month?

30GB is for the 1Mbps (was 768Kbps earlier) tariff, should be 40-50GB for their 10Mbps tariff. Post FUP, 1Mbps becomes 512Kbps.

@dipanlahiri, I too have heard that they buy bandwidth from Tata

I have been using it since last 1 year (used to be using BSNL EvDO earlier). Never got speeds less than what they quoted when I was downloading from websites. Also found that their usage billing is quite accurate. The only issue is if some idiot agency digs up and the cables get cut, you could lose a day or two of connectivity in some areas. Plus what I really like about them is that their tariff is inclusive of taxes.

Thanks for the updated info. FUP used to be 30GB earlier for B-MAX 600 @768Kbps. Still post FUP speeds is much better than the earlier FUP speeds of 256Kbps post FUP for the same plan.

I have recently taken the connection of Beam

Got the connection within 2 days. Gave up my Airtel connection.

Amazing down and up speeds.

Paid Rs.5600/- for 6 months

for the plan of 10 Mbps for 30 GB thereon speed will slow down to 2 mbps,

which is very fair I feel. And moreover one of my friend was saying, even after crossing 30 GB he was getting 10Mbps speed...

I am using 10mbps plan for my home. I CAP is 40 GB per month and after that, 2/4 mbps(I never reached). Upload traffic is not counted and it is free unlimited. only download traffic counted. Any time speedtest net results shows 25 mbps upload and 10 mbps speed from 7A.M to 11 P.M.(nights 25 mbps). PS: if you happens to use any VPN with the router itself, The CAP is not applicable and total download also not counting for the purpose of cap. I am very much satisfied with BEAM tele.

But what about customer service..and other aspects.. incident happened at my classes

my sir bought YOU telecom connnection and 10 MBPS plan for some amnt..

Connection issues started after 1 month...internet was disconnecting every 30-40 mins...called several times customer care..and no resolution ..and he downgraded to 1mbps plan .

so i believe ...if u are going to get new connection..first check reviews and then get a new connection..and i have got many reviews for BEAM TELE ...its good :)

This is just my view..and totally based on incidents that are happening around me!..so don;t just shout that "You are wrong " or anything..Just my View..

beam tele is very good and no issues at all except when cable break. They are very lazy in attending the customer problems. 3 days they took to attend the correction when the cable break because of ganesh nimajan
