You don't need to root the phone only for installing Ngpay. As HTC Droid Incredible is a phone originally registered as an american carrier phone in Android Market, it sometimes shows such error when you try to install some India specific Apps particularly mobile banking, shopping related.

Download the apk file for Ngpay from this post >> http://www.rimweb.in...post__p__223988 copy on phone memory card and install from there. It should work now.

The leaked firmware is buggy. Recommend not to update as yet.

Wait for the issues to resolve.

Maybe we shall get an official update soon

I am not sure if it is really buggy as I have upgraded my dinc to 2.3.4 from this link http://www.androidpolice.com/2011/08/26/exclusive-download-official-gingerbread-build-for-the-htc-droid-incredible/

IMO i guess it is great no issues till now I have it since say last 15 days and i have noticed increase in speed and battery performance. However battery performance boost is negligible. Also I have overcome the infamous issue of low disk space on my phone. Now I am able to exploit my phone memory and no error comes up if I install a few more apps on it.

P.S My phone is still no rooted and it has S On hope it helps.

S-off you will not lose, it is bootloader level and is nand unlock and not affected by the new roms you flash.

Do keep us posted about your experience with GB.

@parin/all gurus

1. Say, I take a backup of all apps using Titanium backup before upgrading. Then afterwards, I again install Titanium backup and use it to restore all apps.Will it work?

2. If I want to revert to Froyo from GB, can I just restore the Nand backup that I have taken before upgrading?

Yes u can Restore All apps using Titanium backup

if u don't like GB u can restore it from ur Nand Backup as well

but i believe GB is gonna be a better experience than Froyo

Rooted the phone and then restored all apps using Titanium backup.

Upfront I dont see much of a change. But also do not see any bugs till now.

There is a bug in the update. After updation, phone thinks ur dinc internal storage is SD card. And moves all apps to internal storage. Gurus any solution.....
