netconnect is when you use with mdn (mobile no.) as username and password & rconnect is when you use internet on handset itself through rworld. nowadays even L1 plan of rconnect is capped to 100 MB. For samsung 369, if you use internet on mobile itself, its rconnect and when you use you phone as a modem, using mdn as username and password, its netconnecto..

hope it helps..

Parin bro,

its 3173units x 10kb = 31730kb/1024= 30MB only..

30Mb x 0.50= Rs15 only!

and i already monitor my usage by an excellent app 3G Watchdog!

i used 100Mb + 25/30Mb more..

we can set data counters(custom dates+custom quota) and also disable data automatically thru this app!

which password should be used to be charged @0.50 per MB..

i am using the omhtest wala user/pass..

Parin bro and other gurus please help me out on this!

thanks in advance!

I am too an L1 plan holder. However I feel that nuc is being charged for EVDO using netconnect. My unbilled usage has shot to 261.27 from Rs. 40. And the data I have used after EVDO activation using cell is 14.39 MB (Verified through data counter app). However I cannot blame the unbilled amount on solely EVDO as my folks use my cell at times for ISD calling :nerves:. Hence I have completely stopped using EVDO till my bill get generated which is on 10th. I will update you guys once I have soft copy with me.

don't suggest MDN for L1 user

Without net connect plan.

Or else u make a mistake of keeping data on say for a day. Than u will be billed @60p/min

I am totally lost now I am not sure how am I being billed for EVDO... I am on L1 and my netconnect plan is default RNC_VALUE.

Now I have not been charged for the 100 MB I have used as it comes under L1 quota. But what puzzles me is for 486 units x 10 = 4560 KB which means approximately 5 MB I was charged R.s 24.30.

So it comes to around R.s 5 per MB..

Can someone explain me the math here especially Amit bhai I guess would be the best to answer. Following is the portion of my bill which shows my data usage.

I'm getting fed up with reliance , they've sent me a bill of 5000 rs Network usage charges inspite of having windows mobile plan , however they are willing to roll back the charges if i can send them any printed , written , typed etc statement where it is said that windows mobile plan is devoid of network usage charges . Friends , is there any page where it is mentioned as such ?

That happened because you did not configure APN to use MDN as the username/password for connecting to use Windows Mobile plan.

Windows Mobile Plan Tariff Page on RComm Website does not mention anywhere that Network Usage Charges are applicable. >> http://www.rcom.co.i...ile/tariff.html

Try sending a snapshot of that page and also keep a copy for your records.

Thanks rajanji,

I will mail it to them .

however it still leaves me without a data plan without network usage charges :(.

There was a post on rimweb in which a fellow rimwebbian and a dapo customer had written a strongly worded email to rcom managers reprimanding them for scrapping his L1 plan and wrongly applying charges . He had successfully made them undo their wrong doing . I can't seem to find that post . Anybody has any idea what i am talking about ?

Apart from 299 plan (browsing and downloading unlimited), Reliance charges Network usage charges (5 paise per 10 kb or Rs.5 pr 1 MB)

They say that it is the KB usage of sites visited. How much KB each site has? They have absolutely no idea. (or are not willing to say)

So we are at the mercy of Reliance... whatever they say we have to pay the "Network usage charges". The user has no idea how much his bill is going to be.

Any thoughts on this?

Do other networks charge the same?
