I'm also looking for a dual SIM (gsm + cdma) phone. From what I learned(!), it does what it is for. Just works on both the networks. Nothing else. No other feature that can be highlighted here (or anywhere else :) ).

I went through Samsung series of phones as well. All were introduced atleast a year ago (q35 was launched in 2010 as well). So, we can't expect to have all the features that are available in much cheaper phones such as high resolution camera, video recording, pop/push email, decent browser, etc.

From the picture in first post, I guess the phone is a Triple-SIM phone with G+G+C (Two Green buttons with number 1 and 2 on left and another-one green button with letter c on right)...

Sorry for posting at wrong place Honest ji will take care from next time onwards.I have a very old Classic Handset which is dying so wanted to go for a decent handset which works on both networks not looking for any gr8 features making and receiving calls and smsing should suffice.I had been to webworld where Samsung w169 was quoted at 4899 which is costly compared to its featues.So Kindly suggest if this is a ok buy or should I look elsewhere

Recently bought this phone from Letsshop.in for Rs.2832 (Rs.3332 - Rs.500 discount coupon).

Its a very basic C+G+G qwerty phone good for talking and messaging. No EDGE support, only WAP over GPRS.

@OP

If you want a basic phone, then look the new dual sim from Samsung - Guru - Dual

http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/mobile-phone/mobile-phone/dual-sim-phone/SCH-W139SWAINU/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&returnurl=

No camera, but memory card supported. Price around Rs. 3500/-

This same phone is mentioned as Samsung Guru Dual W139

http://www.91mobiles.com/samsung-guru-dual-w139-price-in-india

Im also planning to change my old handset to this one, If i stay with RCDMA :).

Friends please let me know that can i browse internet on using this Guru Dual W139 - GSM SIM?

W139 bluetooth handsfree is not there. We can not use bluetooth headset, that is a big disadvantage. We can transfer files by using blue tooth, it is available for Rs.3250.00 in Hyderabad. Few days back I bought it.

^ well, as I said the phone has only WAP access over GPRS. I am not using it for surfing as I have LG P500 for that. This one is just for keeping my CDMA and one other GSM as back up. Battery life is good. I get 1.5 days stand by with one GSM and CDMA SIM with mainly voice usage and some texting.
