Reliance GSM 3G Internet On Mobile 6 GB For Rs.99/-

Recommended Posts

First of all the 6GB for Rs.99/- is only valid in Rajasthan(few selected states as well) and all other states have different usage quota. :w00t::Sorprendido:

I have used this on Samsung Galaxy 3 i5801. You can browse internet on mobile and download apps

from market at 3G speeds actually. Here is the speed test. :hypocrite:

1121081667.jpg

But if you download anything it will give you only 2g speeds but browsing was ultra fast. :ranting:

I checked data usage balance through MBAL on 55333 and it was accurate.(started with 6144 MB and reducing slowly)

I checked my account balance through *367# and no money was cut for browsing.

Guys this is crazy and you can enjoy your social networking apps and other stuff on real time 3G.

So hurry up Reliance GSM prepaid users , grab your MobileNet recharge now.

WOW... Great info... Please clear one thing.. You are saying download at 2G speed, whether it means tethering to pc and NOT downloading files via phone's web browser??? (Bcoz u already said download apps from market at 3G speeds)

Anyway nice plan from RGsm 3G... I am eagerly waiting for these type of tariff wars only...

Another doubt ji... Whether this will work in roaming also???

:previous:

Not sure of roaming yet.

When i connected it to PC through PdaNet it again gave me 2g speeds (roughly 10KB /ps)

and downloading in phone's browser is also the same.

But opening any site and market works at great speeds. the test i have already put up.

pathetic speeds coming on this recharge of 99 :( Got 6Gb but of no use i again did a recharge for 3g and thought that will mix with old 6gb but got only 300mb for a 3g recharge of 108/- .... Reliance 3G speed is awesome but 2G really s**ks... I tired in Punjab circle...

when its about just your pm , mails , news & weather 2g is perfect.

after all when do u exactly need 3g speeds on mobile.

fortunately in jaipur i keep the phone on HSDPA and get good speeds for above mentioned needs.

6gb feels more than perfect and very generous of reliance.

I am also using 2g 99 recharge in 3g mode, some time I get good speed 100-150 kbps but most of the time pathetic download speed of 5-10 kbps. Even same with airtel also.

Reliance in Kolkata & WB caps the 2G/GPRS/EDGE speed at just 64kbps! :( so we stay away from Reliance!

^^^^^

Capping at 128kbps is ok only if the user is using 2g pack on 3g... The user may someday come to 3G... But capping at 64kbps means way tooo greeedy.... So in circles RCom won 3G, dont use its 2G (and 3G as well) services.... I dont think it is a nice way to move their users to 3G...

@rudradeep

capping at 64k is like

You are going for walk with ur doggy, and u put a chain of just 1 feet long.

reliance want 2G customer on 3G network for browsing, but dont want allocate enough spectrum for them.

Capping at 150kbps is good.

Even BSNL caps 2G user at 400-500K for browsing, and 128k for downloading

This capping issues **** bigtime.

I tried different operators in my town.

Airtel - access to 2G/472kbps cap - speed is not bad avg 12kBps

Vodafone - access to 2G/2048kbps cap - speed is worst, avg 4kBps

Aircel - - access to 2G/8640kbps cap - speed is not bad avg 15kBps

Uninor - - access to 2G/256kbps cap - speed is best, often 30kBps

Tata Docomo - - access to 2G/128kbps cap - speed varies a lot, avg 10kBps

I'm from Kolkata newly port my number from airtel to reliance for 2 reason:

1. Cheap sms 1p

2. No Airtel 3G in my town

Though After port in Reliance give me 1 GB free 3G data. I tested speedtest in computer results more than 1mbps download & 400 kbps upload

Is it possible that we buy a Reliance 3G 6GB@99 in jaipur and use it in roaming in Delhi/Gurgaon. ;)

In Odisha circle if we browse in HSDPA mode then the speed is capped @ 64kbps.

But in EDGE mode the speed goes to 160 kbps..

Change the authentication type to PAP... Worked for me

how to change the PAP setting?

Boss depends on which cell phone you are using...

Rough Idea >> Go to the place where ur APN are listed >> Option>>Authentication type>>PAP

I use my reliance in my HUAWEI data card and that option is there... In one of my friends' samsung corby the option is there..

But in my Nokia X6 and E5 I could not locate the same option

Or, we have to mandatory visit the RWW or some retail outlet ??

You simply have to ask any recharge guy to do mobile net recharge of this amount for you.

No special call or sms or visit required.
