Review: Sprint Samsung Galaxy SII - Epic 4G Touch - The Mammoth

Recommended Posts

Received FI27 Update via OTA today. I don't feel any change in usability from previous update till now.

post-18748-0-50410200-1351249557_thumb.p

It's much better than the earlier release. The battery is better.

I don't know if you guys have noticed, when you add new contact & if you go into details add first name, last name, it shows last named instead of first name. The other columns are fine. That field is actually first name. This is since ICS.

Dkji, kindly roll back to gb before even your phone gets messed up... Just stay on EL29

I don't know what you are talking about. The phone is much smoother and not a single reboot as you suggested. It is an official release and it seems very stable to me.

I agree fi27 is indeed a fantastic update.

Everything is working great in it.

As my personal experience FI27 ROM is way far ahead of any other ROM. much Stable, I think It is a fast ROM which is heavily tweaked.

after installing it I have never use my Extended Battery anymore for normal uses. ThanX to Joshm. :smartass:

Well, its been 3 days and not a single reboot or any other issue. If something had to happen it would have by now. You must have been playing around with different roms and may have messed up something.

Reinstall the root again. If it works fine then enjoy, else do factory format & check. This would solve it.

For any body to help you, please state your s2 firmware, Rom, root status. Also do a spin test of the battery to see if it's swollen i.e spoilt

Keep screen brightness at minimum. Switch off any unnecessary radios like Bluetooth and Wifi and then check again. If it still drains then change your battery with a new one.

No bluetooth? I am using my phone just fine to stream music and make/receive calls over bluetooth in my car. Also you can use Aux-In port. Mounting may be possible ONLY over compatible music systems having a link application for android like in JVC/Sony etc.
