Have you installed Best Wallpapers HD app OR Samsung Galaxy SIII Live Wallpapers?

Because some users on the net reported that similar problem was solved after uninstalling them.

Better battery life = Gingerbread

Overall better = ICS

I have found that JellyBean has Absolutely great battery life AS WELL AS performance. Though i was initially skeptical of trying out JB having just done ICS few months back but at least his JB ROM is great > CM10-20120723-EXPERIMENTAL-crespo4g-burnsra from xda.

This is the first version where i find android GUI is as smooth as iphone. Otherwise in all earlier versions including ICS there was a lag/flicker sometimes (not always, but enough to make you feel your phone is slow) when moving between screens or opening multiple apps or if you had live wallpaper.

This rom has just the minimum required additional things and no bloat. Only thing is you have to replace the boot animation since that has a CM icon (some sort of kiddish alien logo which i hate). Just flash the JB bootanim file after flashing the ROM and GAPPS.

On ICS i only like peteralfonso.com roms (bugless beast) which doesn't have any funny extras like all the other xda guys and has good battery life as well as performance. But no Project Butter as in JB.

JB is better than ICS.

ICS performs poor on both devices I checked. RAZR MAXX and NS4G

"It has been already confirmed in the Sprint’s official forums, via a Sprint employee through a post that the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OTA update for Sprint Galaxy Nexus and Nexus S 4G would be rather slow, and it might take over a week to hit all the devices in town. Below is the exact message which Sprint employee posted.

I also got Jelly Bean update today morning. Now my phone android version status showing as 4.1.1

Still not explored the changes, but I would like to tell here that my GALLARY option has disappeared after updating the Jelly Bean.

Can someone tell me how to access the Gallery now...

The Gallery option is now visible after restarting the phone.

No issues so far.

It may be psychological, but I am experiencing the operations little fast after JB update.

Even I got official 4.1.1 JRO03R update at first go on my friend's ns4g. But there are some bugs like operator name, 1x icon, higher level of auto brightness and a few more. AOKP BUILD 4 is full of tweaks and completely compatible with Nexus S. You can try AOKP.

I have noticed that my Phone's Root Access has been disabled recently.

Is it after Jelly Bean update...

I have verified Root Access thru Root Checker Apps, the result shows that "Sorry! This device does not have proper root access"

Do I need to Root my phone again...

Yes flash SU.zip from recovery. If not rooted then Gnexs toolkit.

I have a nexus which seems to have developed akey issue - calls are disconnecting in 1 sec. (did a factory reset few days back, but data is still working)

Anyone remembers how to enter akey ?

I tried the *#*#debug#*#* but can't find any option to enter akey.
