Best Network In Delhi?

Recommended Posts

I agree. while airtel and vodaphone are supposed to be the best in my locality both provides the worst possible service.

RCDMA provides better service and MTS is possibly the best.

Again at my office MTS provides the worst service.

Given that DELHI-NCR service area covers very large area there can not be a single best solution.

The Gargoyle prefers Vodafone for Delhi. Less number of call drops vis-a-vis Airtel. Last time I was in the city, Airtel had a few "blackout" zones inside buildings.

2G --- Reliance gsm, 10gb for 101 in my circle .. :Sorprendido:

3G -- Aircel, Take a new sim worth Rs 100, Get 3GB of 3G data for a month, After a month throw away the sim and take a new one :D

I am looking to shift my primary number to a new operator, so looking for a good combination of reasonable tariff, attractive sms plan and nice data(if possible 3g otherwise 2g) packages.

I would suggest you use two numbers.

MTNL for 3G data, 3G video call and ISD calls and any other for local/STD voice.

I use MTNL & R-CDMA but that needs two handsets. If you use MTNL 3G & any other GSM, there are several dual SIM handsets available

MTNL is not an option. I am changing from RIM because the network is very poor at my workplace. MTNL is worse

I think as much as I may hate airtel, I think I will have to settle for it.

For 3G no one is better than MTNL speed plus tarrif, just check network coverage where you are going to spend most of your time for data use..... if MTNL is there its best for atleast data use.

Airtel is better than Vodafone and idea. And tata Indicom is good too. Used it for 2 yrs but in basic phone. No issues. Good coverage in Delhi and ncr. Even while traveling. Indicom has good coverage.

Don't invest in new CDMA phone for Tata. They may anytime close CDMA services in Delhi, as they have asked for liberalisation of CDMA spectrum there. If you have old CDMA phone lying around, use it. Do not buy new CDMA only phone, even for Tata.

As Mr Kanaga suggested don't buy a cdma handset, but you were using Rcdma in bangalore, so I guess you already have a sim based cdma phone,

Go for Tata they have good network and the evdo speed is decent too. But port out to airtel or Vodafone with the first warning signs of the closure of their network, till then enjoy.

If you really have to buy a new handset then I would only suggestion to buy gsm only no matter what.

Thanks a lot sir @kanaga and @joshm..

I have RN3 handset and using cdma in this phone. Till the time tata will be available, I use it. If it closes then I will choose any good gsm network(Airtel or Voda) as RN3 supports all network.
