Good work, Google has a serious problem in accepting direct .csv files because the fields defined in it's format do not align to how nokia pc suite or lg pc sync export. If they fixed it then every phone user could simply export contacts in .csv format and upload in GMail contacts then sync. Right now it needs manually modifying the .csv field columns.

I saved the csv file as dos instead of windows and all my contacts were accepted seamlessly. This was posted somewhere here a few days back. It worked flawlessly. Try it out, it may work well.

Update : 06/03/2012

This process is no longer working after SE changed its software & old software does not works as it shows to compulsorily to update the software.

Run Rainbow Contacts on android and Import all contacts within minutes

You can manually transfer all contacts from any phone to Android using bluetooth and android will store them.

Friends I have a backup if contacts taken from my old Samsung phone. Is there any way to transfer those contacts to my Android phone?
