Galaxy Y duos should be a bit cheaper. It should have a better battery.

Ace duos will surely be a Moto XT800 killer.

Dear Sougata, that post refers to three different models of Samsung whereas this thread could be dedicated to discuss particularly about Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos (Gsm + Cdma). :)

The modest specs this phone carries does not justify the 17K price tag.

Fail.

Find some difference in features given in this thread as well as below gsmarena link for the handset. The difference is in CPU Processor, Android OS and Camera mp... Which is correct one...

^ ^ ^ false news. The link shows an image of Replenish that was released in US by Sprint last year. Don't think it is ever going to make it to Indian shores and that too carrying a price tag of 5K, which is inconsistent with the pricing strategy of Samsung.

This is now available at a much lower price from the announced MRP of Rs 16,900.

Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos i589 at Rs 13,490 >> http://www.koovs.com...les-accessories

But there is a controversy. :sign_omg:

Apparently GSM Arena suggest that it's not actually a phone having two SIM slots but will only support either GSM or CDMA SIM.

GSM Arena >> http://www.gsmarena....0-news-3824.php

You should keep in mind that the Duos part here doesn't mean a second SIM slot as it does on most other Samsung devices. Instead, the Samsung Galaxy Ace Duos will come with GSM and CDMA support, making it a truly global phone.

Called up Samsung India to verify this but as usual they said they have no official info about this handset. That's a Week after Samsung India bosses launched the handset which is already available online :icon_rofl:

I have this set in hands - it definitely has 2 slots but its says CDMA // CDMA / GSM

so does it means it has support for 2 cdma - i have to test that but i have only one UIM card looking for another one - and get back

There is lot of confusions about this handset in terms of its specs, dula sim capacity (GSM+CDMA), price & availability.

Requesting Gurus as well as Pride Owners of this Handset (who already bought it) to put your Opinion/Feedback/Reviews...

No it doesnt support CDMA+ CDMA

By this CDMA GSM/CDMA they mean to say that

In above tray you can put GSM or CDMA

But in Second tray you can put only CDMA.

First Tray is Master

Second is Slave

So if you want CDMA only they put CDMA in first tray.

If you want C+G then put GSM in fisrt and CDMA in secdond.

But no CDMA CDMA at all
