List of CDMA + GSM Handsets

Recommended Posts

still waiting for the co-branded EVDO Rev.B phone from MTS

i don't think MTS will launch rev.B phones. they are too much focused towards data cards.

MICROMAX has come up with decent CDMA+GSM Smart Phone in its Canvass Series-Canvas Blaze.

Details & Source.

http://www.gogi.in/micromax-canvas-blaze-mt500.html

http://micromaxcanvas.co.in/micromax-canvas-blaze-mts-special-offer/

Since this is only for MTS, it is not available in Mumbai where MTS shut shop last year. So the only option I have (Tata Indicom user) is to move to Reliance CDMA purely because of lack of Android 4x dual SIM (CDMA+GSM) handsets with Indicom. I plan to use Internet on my cell, hence need at least 4" handset. Planning to switch to Relaince CDMA. Any suggestions oon my situation much appreciated.

Anyone used this / having any opinion / further info on this one?
Note: i have taken the specs from PDAdb.net as some specs in Ebay listing looks dodgy.
  • 4.3" QHD Display
  • 1.2 Ghz Dual Core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 MSM8625
  • Android 4 ICS
  • 768MB RAM (Ebay listing says 1GB!) , 3.7GB ROM, Micro SD expansion
  • CDMA + GSM Dual SIM, Standard size slots

Can you share if you received any more info on this model. Looks nice. Want to check before I decide to buy :)

I just brought HTC desire XC. Best dual cdma handset in India as of now. Totally loving it, especially when i upgraded from samsung. XC is launched a month back and not many are aware of it.

What is ur experience on battery life?

Please do not expect good battery life from htc phones, especially mid end phones. Motorola is the champion in that department IMHO

Listing description says open market cdma + gsm smart phone but photos show Tata Indicom on box.

Be careful, confirm first whether CDMA is locked to Tata.

This looks to be one of those Chinese phones. I would be careful of going for such a thing w/o knowing about After-sales service here in India in case of any problems.

May be because 2000 is lucky number for Chairman's wife... (Even if its lucky no of Chairman, he will never recommend it -- But he can't reject his boss's order right?)

The whole co must be thankful to her, since 200 is NOT her lucky number...
