List of CDMA + GSM Handsets

Recommended Posts

Has anyone here reviewed the Micromax Canvas Duet2 EG111? Snapdeal has it on offer for 9999/- . I am currently using a Samsung Galaxy Stellar and am very happy with the performance but I need a GSM line as well.

Any inputs are welcome

ZTE grand S2 is a good spec phone amazingly priced at Amazon

Supports both CDMA/GSM 3g on single SIM Slot

http://www.amazon.in/gp/product/B00PLHU6AQ/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i1?pf_rd_m=A1VBAL9TL5WCBF&pf_rd_s=center-3&pf_rd_r=0JX2BBW2YCJ762DS13Q1&pf_rd_t=101&pf_rd_p=518028707&pf_rd_i=1320006031

Not sure it it support Evdo A or B, Amazon site is not much clear. Reviews are mixed some say A some B

ZTE India Website does not say anything

Chipset is capable of EVDO RevB

http://pdadb.net/index.php?m=cpu&id=a8674&c=qualcomm_snapdragon_800_msm8674_v1

However Specs of this phone only mentions EVDO RevA

Hi,

I have been facing problem with the Mobile data. I am using a HTC E8. I do see the signal bars Ex being full and 1x as full. But when I turn on mobile data it says disconnected and keeps endlessly trying. Sometimes out of the blue it gets connected. but very unstable.

Here are the configurations I am using

Mobile Data > ON
Mobile Data >> Data Roaming > ON
Mobile Data >> Slot 1 Network > Preferred Network > CDMA Mode
Mobile Data >> Slot 1 Network > CDMA Options > Network mode > 1x/EVDO

--"-- System Select > Home Only

A quick question. Does HTC E8 support 3G on seconf GSM slot?

Thanks,

Ravi

Hey Guys,

Lava EG632 was launched yesterday and it is available on Reliance Online. Though the price price is dobule of MTS Blaze 4.5 but I do not see features/specs going double. Just check it out. It is nice to have a new CDMA samartphone launch once in a while :)

^^ as per specs screen size is 5" so comparable with MTS Blaze 5 and not BlaZe 4.5, EG632 supprts EVDO and UMTS on first slot so can be used as GSM-3G/CDMA-3G+GSM but ZTE (MTS Blaze) supports only CDMA and EVDO in first slot.

Dear All,

Found review of the phone Infocus M810 in https://www.gogi.in/infocus-m810-review.html

Mr. Gogi mentions the below point in his review.

" There is also mention of CDMA support (EVDO 1x/DO (BCO 800MHz) on the box pack. I am not using CDMA SIM so was not able to test it. "

Can anyone confirm this ???

Another good specs phone which is having Worldmode is Meizu M2 Note -- available at Amazon in Rs 9999.00

" The M2 Note comes with another key advancement – ‘Worldmode’ or support for CDMA and GSM on the same phone, and a better graphics processor.

Of course, Worldmode is not a big deal for most users, but the fact is that in India, the call rates offered by CDMA operators (25 paise per minute) are about half of what the GSM operators charge. Similarly, the CDMA operators offer 4 GB of high-speed mobile data (EVDO) for Rs 250, while GSM operators provide only 1 GB. In other words, it’s nice to have a choice. The reason for Worldmode support is the inclusion of the MediaTek MT6753 chipset. Another Worldmode phone in India with the same chipset is the Gionee F103 "

Same for Meizu M2 Note , can anyone confirm if it works with Reliance cdma RUIM.

Mods, hope I am posting the message in right thread ...

Hey Kamal,

Check if the Meizu note is Amazon fulfilled, if it is buy it & check if cdma works else return it back.

Update over here as well since many others will also be updated.

Hi,

Some one did ask whether it supports CDMA on Meizu's facebook page. The reply was it doesnt.

If any member has this phone. I suggest you try inserting the SIM and find it out yourself whether CDMA works out of box.
