AT Commands & SMS Software

Recommended Posts

Here Are A Few AT Commands For The LG-2030 Using MSM5105 Chipset.

I Have Only Tested These On The LG-2030. Use These Commands Very Cautiously As They Might Cause

Irrepairable Damage To The Phone Hardware As Well As Software.

You Can In No Way Under Any Circumstances Hold Me Responsible For Any Damage Whatsoever Caused To Your Phone.

They May Differ From Handset To Handest And Also According To The Software Version Used.

I Tested These Commands By Typing Them In 'HyperTerminal'

Normal modems use a set of ‘Attention Codes’ (known as AT commands) for normal operation..

These commands instructs the phone to do something specific, such as dialling a telephone number.

We can control the mobile through these commands..

Such as send sms, retrieve certain settings etc..

The "AT" refers to getting the attention of your modem.

Hey buddies, i have some questions

AT+FCLASS=? Fax classes supported by the modem, if any.

so i applied that and got following answer,

0,2.0

That means Fax is supported or not?

Following works and dial number 31003100

at+cdv 31003100

OK

for, AT+GCAP Get Configuration And Supported Capabilities List... so it display

at+gcap

+GCAP: +CIS707-A, +MS, +ES, +DS, +FCLASS

What does all this means..

I want tutorial for this AT commands badly.... ashok , vikas pls.

It's Good To See That All Of You Liked My Post.

At Least 2 Days Of My Hard Work's Not Gone Waste.

You See, All Those AT$'QC' I.E. qualcomm Standard Types Are Not Documented By Qualcomm. So I Had To Write A Program To Send Random Character Combinations (4 Letter) After The Prefix AT$QCXXXX And Record All Those Which Did Not Return ERROR.

Enough Of That... I Did All This Just To Find Out The SMS Codes But What I Discovered Was Nasty.

Qualcomm Has Put The SMS Initialization Into Its BREW Protocol. So No Ones Coming Close To Sending SMS'es Any Time Soon.. Since BREW Documentation Costs Something Like 1 Crore Of Rupees. :D

Anyways The Main Reason For This Post Is Because I Discovered Something Called An 'SMS Trigger'.

Thats All I Know If Any One Knows Any Thing About It Please Post It Here.

It Will Help Everyone.

Static,

I have N191 and all your code works fine here. So change Title of Post.

In N191 No way to see Area in which phone is operating.(RD 2030 shows when calling)

But when I apply,

AT+CDV ANYPHONENUM

It shows Area e.g Gandhinagar... he he

First i think we can get a way to sms form PC. but now... :D

hope ashok or vikas finds some interesting.

Dear Ashok

i know how to send sms using lg rd 2030 .For that u will require Serial data cable for the lg rd 2030 and the R connect kit which can be obtained from any reliance web world. then in that kit there is a facility to send the sms .before that u have to gie thae smsc centre number.

Anything more ?

U r welcome

Chirag u can have this tested in Hyperterminal...

You might be having it under

Accessories > Communication > Hyperterminal... in ur Start menu

In that open a connection to the phone in the appropriate port..

And type in these commands...

Ashok,

How can we use hyperterminal for that?

And can u have AT command for N191

As i said above u can use Hyperterminal...

You jus have to open a connection selecting the com port in

which u have the phone connected...

And then u get in the terminal window(main screen) .. Type in these commands..

For sending SMS, it is still a Question

I found some thing for BREW,

It is BREW SDK it may contains some info about BREW.

https://brewx.qualcomm.com/bws/content/gi/p...all/install.htm

But as Static said ,

for sms BREW is used.. i don't think RD2030 and N191 is BREW enabled.

Also, I Discovered That The BREW Protocol Works At 38.8 Kbps...

Thats All I Know.

By The Way What About That 'SMS Trigger'??

P.S. Please Don't Refer To Me As *SE* atleast say Static if not StaticElectricity.

hey guys,

nice to read all of your msgs flowing here.

RD2030 is brew enabled j2me handset....and brew SDK is freely downlaodable.

however its free for development only in emulator. for actual deployment, you must apply for verisign IDs. ( cost $400) for a year, for 100 apps.

all applications on a brew handset are digitally signed by this ID.

i tried this with my RD2030.

i downlaoded "air-attack" game from r-world.. so rd2030 keeps it in its memory...

it created a new directory under /ams called "16" ( it could be any number) and downloads 2 files , a .jar, and a .jad file ( these are J2ME files).

i created a new " hello world J2me application by teh same name and replaced it via BITPIM.

then when i try running air attack, it tried to run my files..teh .JAD file is read properly...however teh jar fails to load.. i feel that is because, its not signed properly( brew-verisign IDs)...but i haven't given up on that...looks like i am going to keep my phone on cable all of this sunday...:-)

cheers,

anupam
