How Fast Does Your Smartphone Boot?

Recommended Posts

how long does it take your ferrari to start up .... oh i mean your superpower smartphone boot time.

have you ever been bothered by it to bring it to full working from shut down mode.

my photon unfortunately takes 1:36 mins tested with startup manager

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=imoblife.startupmanager&hl=en

but i was crazy amazed to see results on recently purchased htc sensation

i think its exemplary to note and i believe thats how quick your partner in arms

should be. i wonder if it even shuts down completely. it almost like it goes to sleep.

having used quite a few htc i m sure when i choose power off and the logo appears "htc quietly brilliant"

before turning dark. as i again press power on it hardly takes 10 seconds.

you guys might have had faster & better experience.

please share here.

Photon is a powerhouse....a phone packed with awesome specs and a very good sturdy body. but unfortunately its takes a very long time to boot.

I have used, Motorola milestone which has a boot time of around 50-60 seconds. Spica had boot time of around 1 min, HTC incredible 2 has a boot time of 30-40 secs, HTC legend has a boot time of 50-60 secs, HTC evo design has a boot time of around 40-50 secs & Photon on custom ROM CM 7 has a boot time of around 20-25 secs. All custom ROMs are pretty fast in boot.

Photon takes so long because it tries to search for sprint activation whenever it starts.

Even after changing the sprintodam file to skip the sprint activation part mopho takes time to boot. However the second photon I have boots under 1 min which is complete stock setup. Will try to see if I can find any difference in settings.

Btw my current daily driver epic 4G touch takes around 15 to 20 second to boot same applies to htc incredible in my household which has fast boot enabled.

Photon - just a little more than a minute.

Motorola users can check out Kanaga's new topic on de-blur and maybe the boot times will be much lower.
