Movies That You Loved (Or Hated) - Part II

Recommended Posts

After watching Dhoom 3 yesterday, this came to my kind as the ultimate weapon against the Americans. We should torture all US diplomats in India. Make them watch Dhoom 1, Dhoom 2 & Dhoom 3 back to back. And only Uday Chopra scenes...

Still would give it 2 Stars just for the initial Beemer stunt. After that the movie was all downhill.

Rush (2013) - 4 star rating - A must watch for all F1 enthusiasts in general. Taut, gripping and fast paced.

The Butler (2013) - 4 Star Rating - Another gripping drama based on true events. Facets several decades of US President in the eyes of an insider. Oprah's first major role too.

Don Jon (2013) - 3 Star Rating - Good learning experience for the young chaps and the portrayal of the unhealthy part that porn has been integrated in today's generations minds. But the movie is deeper on many levels.

Drishyam (Malayalam movie) worth watching. Good story line, cinematography & well done.

To enjoy the movie 100%, better to go with a translator - some dialogues are important and adds to the twist in the movie.

The Wolf of Wall Street (2013) - 4 Star Rating - Great acting by Leonardo but Martin got carried away with extreme nudity. Must see.

The Art of the Steal (2013) - 3 Star Rating - Nice and realistic, but kiddish in some place.

12 Years a Slave (2013) - 4 Star - Definite Oscar pick.

Dallas Buyers Club (2013) - 4 Star Rating - May get best actor Oscar.

The Counselor (2013) - 3 Star Rating - Depressing in the end but that's how sometimes life is.

Gravity (2013) - 4.5 Star Rating - Edge of the seat. Brilliant NASA photography. Would have loved to see this in square format imax.

Captain Phillips (2013) - 4 Star Rating - Again edge of the seat. Based on true Somalian hijacking.

Jackass presents Bad Grandpa (2013) - 3 Star Rating - If you have a gang of friends watch this with them. Hilarious but deplorable at the same time.

Going to watch wall street wolf on Sunday! Mini cinema hall near me (laptop) thanks for rating.

Had watch jackass present bad grandpa

It was just nasty gags! Old man doing all sort of funny and some nasty things...

Like sticking his private parts in wending machine, dancing almost naked in ladies bar with balls hanging ..... LOL that was really bad!

Don't watch it with family !

Marathi movie "Fandry" is tender love story overshadowed by stark realities of the society. Worth watching

The fault in our stars (2014) - 4.5 stars - One of the best movies I have seen this year. Little emotional as its a love story of 2 cancer patients but the Anne Frank twist gives hope...

Surely one of the best emotional romantic movies I've seen.. Can't forget many of the dialogues between hazel n Augustus which are wonderfully written...

Worth each n every minute & each n every tear that'll shed from your eyes..

Performance of hazel n gus is class apart..

Dk, Anne Frank twist, apart from being awesome, is a reality..
