Microsoft SkyDrive 25 GB FREE Cloud Storage Upgrade

Microsoft has changed policy for free cloud storage space on SkyDrive. All new users will get only 7GB Free Storage.

But if you are an existing user, just login once here with your windows live id / password >> https://login.live.c...=1033&id=250206

Your account should be instantly upgraded to FREE 25 GB Storage. Mine did.

As Microsoft said in the Official Blog, this 25 GB Upgrade for existing users is for a limited time only. So, don't miss out.

Read the blog here for feature list in NEW SkyDrive. >> http://blogs.msdn.co...e-anywhere.aspx

Updated mine to 25 GB.

I'm not sure of what I am going to do with that much cloud space though. For now just backed up some important documents and random snaps from the local drive, utilizing about 100 MB.

^ ^ ^

May be due to this condition they put for the upgrade offer..

*Correction 4/23/12, 11:15 AM PST: Revised wording to clarify that loyalty offer is only for existing users who have uploaded files to SkyDrive before April 22, 2012.

Even though my another account which had no files uploaded before April 22 also got upgraded successfully.

Look into the tutorials on how to map this 25GB as a local drive on your internet enabled PCs. You can make good use of the 25GB space.

Doesn't work for me. Tried my old live account and Hotmail as well. Tired doing it today afternoon, though some people are reporting of success till the time I wrote this post....I wonder how did they managed to get 25g as I got only 7gb. Anyways thanks to one of the rim member (sorry can't recollect the name :P) who pointed out box.com offering 50gb for lifetime for limited time to Android users. I managed to make 2 accounts and have 100gb now... :)

Hope to clear a few things up. The loyalty offer was given to those who have had active SkyDrive accounts prior to MS's revision of storage. Having a Windows Live account does not mean that you’ve had an active SkyDrive all along.
