HTC Incredible 2 Switch Off Problem

Recommended Posts

One of my friend using a like new HTC incredible 2 handset with gsm simcard from last 4-5 days .. But his handset switches off for 1-2 times everyday.. He has to pull out the battery n reinsert it to switches on the phone.. But before using this phone with gsm sim, he used it with cdma omh for first 15 days without any problems.. Problem started after inserting the gsm sim..

So friends pls put some light on it n help him to solve this problem asap..

Is this a problem of that particular handset or Chinese rom or anything else?

Its may b due to u have flashed the rom without unchecking fast boot. Try reflashing n make sure the fast boot option in settings is uncheck.

It may not be the switch off thing, its sleep if death. Where the phone goes into sleep and doesn't respond when u push the power button. I have often faced this issue on many phones. But at times the phone wakes up if u press power button for few seconds. It happens majorly on custom roms.

If the GSM network in too much fluctuating on Chinese ROM than phone will go in deep sleep and will neither charge or switch off/on unless you do a battery pull.

If you wish to use GSM, use Verizon ROM with Chinese Radio.

No solution, just press the power button in such cases for few more seconds, the phone wakes up at times. Else no other option but to pull the battery out. Also, might be a possibility for what kapilbhai said. But in my experience the problem happens in custom roms

CDMA can be used without any issues.

And for GSM use Verizon ROM or UKB ROM.

Friends, I am facing following problem in HTC incredible 2

Problem seems to be with HTC sense, as I can't open home screen or application list. When, I touch home buttom, I get following message..

"the application HTC sense (process com.htc.launcher) has stopped unexpectedly. Please, try again"

& it has to be force closed. Then, phone goes into setting & no application can be accessed..

Also, phone is not going into recovery by pressing power + volume down button..

Any solutions ?
