Build.prop tweak for internet speeds ( 3G =EVDO) ..I personally haven't tested this tweak

Rooted Device Neccesary

1) Copy ur build.prop somewhere safe .

2)Now go to "/system/build.prop" and open it in text editor

3) search for this line "

persist.ril.uart.flowctrl=x" where x=1 to 10

change x to 10!

and reboot

let it settle for a few mins..and then turn data on..and see magic!

try it..and don;t blame if it doesn;t work

Most android phones have lag when call comes to remove that lag..only for people who are on stock rom ..because most of the custom roms have this line added!

just add this simple line in build.prop

ro.telephony.call_ring.delay=0

same instructions as above!

I could find "persist.ril.uart.flowctrl" in my build prop.

GNEX CDMA, should I add it?

improve Reliance CDMA voice clarity

ro.ril.enable.amr.wideband=1 (widely known working tweak)

For guys having data connectivity issues even after many mods/changes and fiddling

ril.subscription.types=NV,RUIM

For smooth BTS (cellular tower interlooping)

ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendataca

For getting 3G signal format in place of EvDo

ro.ril.enable.3g.prefix=1

improve battery under no signal -- need test

ro.mot.eri.losalert.delay=1000

More tweaks to continue.....

ro.telephony.ril.v3=icccardstatus,skipbrokendataca

This is breaking the network signals.

Anyone wanting to observe simultaneous 1x and EvDo coverage signal bars irrespective of the band selected. Build.prop tweak.

ro.config.hw_new_double_signal=1

Incoming calls on some Android phones using Reliance CDMA shows 0091xxxxxxxxxx, which the phone contacts may not recognise preventing outgoing calls in this format. I have devised a build.prop tweak which will revert back to 0xxxxxxxxxx number format with ease. Remember, always backup your build.prop before tweaking so we can switch it back when in trouble.

1. Using root explorer, from root file system locate the 'system' folder

2. go to build.prop and long press select open in text editor

3. opened, got to the line

#ro.config.hwft_MatchNum=____ change from whatever to 7 ( RCDMA only accepts 7)

#ro.config.hwft_MatchNumShort=____ Change from whatever to 7

more CDMA build.prop tweaks will be continued........

Does this tweak change the number (remove 0091) when we try to call back the number or does it change the format in the incoming call display itself? I tried adding the lines (as it did not exist) in Samsung Galaxy S3 CDMA but the incoming call display continues to show 0091 number format and so it doesn't show the name from contacts. It shows the name in the call log history though.

Yes sometimes it is not working because of some ril changes. It is also Rom related. Download prefixer by 253 below from playstore. Make manual rules for i/c and o/g calls. It will work.

Here is an app that lets you allow editing build.prop file easily: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.nathan.jf.build.prop.editor&hl=en

Better to nand backup the ROM before granting root permission to this application. This app will edit values in build.prop file but new lines cannot be added. The app only supports and recognizes platform tweaks and build tweaks but not model/carrier/frequency band values.
