EVDO not working on Google Nexus

Recommended Posts

Hello

I purchased GNex a few days ago and the seller says it is evdo activated. I activated 94 Rs sms/data plan. Called reliance CC to activate evdo. A day later I get a call from CC that high speed Internet i.e evdo has been activated on the number.

I checked the signal type on the phone and it says evdo rev A 6. However, when I enable data on the phone it changes to 1x rtt 7 and in the speed test app I only get around 100kbps. Again if I disable the data, the signal changes to evdo.

Is the problem with my phone or evdo has not been activated by reliance?

Get the NV dump file from seller and upload it to handset using CDMA work shop and see if it connect to EVDO

There wont be any dumpfile. This is VIA chipset phone. On which cdma basedband radio? You will have to flash FC12.

Ask your seller to configure EVDO on your phone. Its the responsibility of the seller to configure the settings.

Its a Radio issue. Flash FC12 radio using fastboot.

Kapilji

If I flash a radio the reliance programming won't be effected, right?

Nothing would be affected. Just flash radio and you are good to go.

Kapilji

I have installed a custom ROM codename android..

In baseband version it already says L700.05 V.FH05 / L700.FC12

On xda I found they recommend FD02.

Do you recommend flashing this radio.

Thanks once again.

Check in Bootloader.

LTE = FH05

cdma-radio = L700.FC12

Baseband format is stock ROM is CDMA / LTE hence 'L700.FC12 / L700.05 V.FH05" while you have mentioned the opposite.
