NOTE: Be Very Careful in using this menus. Don't mess with it unless you know what you're doing as rightly advised by Hetal Patel in this later post no 11.

Thanks Rajan Bhai.

Does this actually means CDMA Voice/SMS + GSM 3G Data will work simultaneously? Both active at the same time like a dual sim phone?

All world capable phones are one at a time, either CDMA or GSM. This one looks no different.

TOday I received PM from Shashank asking if GSM on N2 works.

For me it works, my N2 is on

BUILD : JRO03C-I605VRALJB

BASEBAND : I605VRALL4

Kernel: 3.0.31-414933

Android : 4.1.1

I downloaded ROOTED ROM from http://server10.stockroms.net/download/GalaxyNote2/SCH-I605/rooted/root66_VZW_stock_system.tar.zip?token=39385653 and ODIN it.

To insert VODAFONE APN, I used TB and APN MANAGER PRO.

But, this phone is on CDMA though.

Thanks for the update kshah....

Now I think I have figured out the reason that why the gsm part was not working for me...Probably because you are on VRALL4 basebandI and I am still on the VRALJB baseband..

Thats the only difference that I can see between your gsm working screenshot and my device...but I can't test it right away.....

Shashank : If you can, please flash the stock VRALJB rom and just update the baseband after that.. I think this experiment will help a lot of users who want to use gsm on verizon note2.

As I told, I have not checked on EDGE, My sim has 3G enabled so it was on 3G only. There is no way I can select EDGE on the phone. Try if it is working on UMTS network.

Was that rom really useful in terms of gsm usability?

New easy method: Root Required

1)Go to market install BuildProp Editor

2)Once installed find and open Build Prop Editor

3)Hit the Menu key then Edit button (pl See screenshot)
4)Scroll to the bottom of screen and add the following lines

Code:

ril.sales_code=LOL
ro.csc.sales_code=LOL

5)Hit the save button at the top right hand corner of the screen(looks like a disk) (See Screenshot)
6)Once this is done saving restart the phone
7)After restarting go to Settings>More Settings>Mobile Networks>Access Point Names>Menu Button>+ New APN
8)Add desired carriers APN info, when finished hit menu button and save

Enjoy DATA :hi2:
