Old SIM = Poor Battery Performance?

Recommended Posts

I have been using the same sim card for around 5 years, my carrier is BPL/Loop Mobile (No 3G, nothing :P)

I have used a bunch of phones and even on 2G mode, the battery drains as if it has loose motions.

Should this be blamed to the old sim card? (Switched about 10 handsets but never got good battery life)

Am thinking to switch to Voda actually, anyone had the same experience?

why dont you get the sim replaced with same carrier and test the battery. It is costs nothing or 25 rs.

If your problem is only battery backup not other issues with operator!

the battery drains as if it has loose motions.

This seems the reason why your battery is always in motion. :P

Get the old 16 K / 32 K Sim replaced with a new one from your present carrier. I hope that loose motions will stop on immediate basis. :Psmiley-toilet07.gifspoop_smileypooping_reading_100-1051.gif

I sent a port request to Loop Mobile and have to fill up a form for Vodafone, the CC guy asked me the reason & I said I need 3G, lol he had nothing to offer as Loop doesn't have 3G

Not for battery life, but my edge speed increased when i changed my Sim in Tata docomo (mini to micro). So there is a huge chance that the Sim may be the sole reason for the loose motion of your phone battery.
