Sprint iPhone 5 on Reliance CDMA?

Recommended Posts

Hello Rimwebians !!!

Good morning to All !!!

Just out of curiousity , did any of our esteemed gurus have tried flashing the Sprint Iphone 5 with Reliance or TATA CDMA services ? if yes, did they got everything working like call, msg and data(evdo) ?

I know you can get GSM part of the phone unlocked for international use for some 75-100$ and if got lucky from sprint for free, but really would be interested if this cane be done !!!

Cheers

In my limited knowledge, evdo has not yet been possible on iphone4s..so cdma data on iphone5 does seem a long shot atm..

Ok.. based on discussions its safe to assume that Flashing RCDMA on Sprint Iphone 5 will not work , atleast completely.

Also I have had very bad experiences with the external solutions like RSIM and GEVEY for GSM unlocking on iphone5.

So, in one word, AVOID SPRINT IPHONE 5 , right ?? Can get Verizon or ATT one for GSM use.

I used sprint iPhone 5 with r-sim7 works all GSM with SMS, Voice, and 3g and 2g. I sold that, phone.

Recently I purchased EE (UK) locked iPhone 5 and used with R-sim7+. This time also it works with SMS, Voice and 3g and 2g. I tested this r-sim7+ with upgrading to ios7. It works.

The post on ebay said it is capable of work with CDMA. But did not say it is flashed with dfs. If it is flashed and registered its MEID, it would have mentioned. Contact him for further details.

I don't think Iphone 5s or 5c(designed for Sprint) can be activated from country(network) other than US(sprint), even if it is a good esn, the phone stucks on activation screen, I may be wrong but as far as some posts of some members of this forum they are unable to activate 5c even with any 3rd party solution(like Rsim). May be more experienced iDevices users can shed some light.

In the same boat, getting a Sprint Iphone 5S, which is 2 months old . Is there any way to use it on GSM locally in India? , Will any interposer sim work on the same. If not i will drop the purchase and refuse payment to the seller.

Right no one will be able to unlock iPhone 5s locked to sprint...

Rsim, xsim, not even a single sim working...

Right now only incoming calls and incoming sms will work after jailbreak...

So don't import it right now..

@VA Name of the seller and some proof please....That would be great news. But as far as I know...there is no known method to get the Sprint iPhone 5(c/S) working with any network other than Sprint.

AFAIK no way it's possible for rcdma omh to work on sprint iPhone 5c,5s...
