Some bugger sold you a connection a day after Uninor switched off its network!

Go and sue him. Hope you did not spend more than 50-100 rupees.

the number ended in 999999 ....it was for 1 lac ( standard rate for any 999999 ending in mumbai except in airtel and vodafone who charge 2 lac and 1.5 lac respectively for number ending in 999999 or 000000 ) . they gave me discount of 25 percent . and i got it for 75000 .....

Over 1 crore Uninor customers, whose mobile phone services have been disconnected as the company shut down operations, can opt for mobile number portability service and switch to other operators, said a top government official.

"The customers can certainly make request for porting out their number...that is something we will try and work out," Telecom Secretary R Chandrashekhar said here in response to a query over the fate of troubled customers of Uninor.

Good news for Uninor Customers of Mumbai/Kolkata Circles stuck due to sudden service closure.

TRAI has issued a direction whereby now Uninor Customers can now,

  • Ask for a refund of amount available in the prepaid account

  • Uninor will now have to accept request for issue of a Unique Porting Code at its Call Centers & issue the same manually.

  • All telecom operators in the above circles have to accept and process port in requests of Uninor Customers for port code generated through above method.
