csmart 472 Report post Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) Mini review of the cyanogenmod on Note 2. I've been using for more than 10 days now... What I like: Fast and smooth No bloat whatsoever. You need to install each and every app. So I installed only those I use. Excellent battery life of about 1.5 days with Wi-Fi on 24x7. My usage is limited and earlier on stock ROM I was getting about 18 hours only. Notification/status bar Dark messaging app What I didn't like: Cannot bulk SMS. When more than 1 addresses are added, it treats as MMS Email app (not GMAIL) for exchange in not up to the expectations. Search is not proper. csmart 472 Report post Posted February 13, 2014 I tried Slim ROM but didn't like it. The main issue is that it shows only "first" number in dialpad for a contact. That's the new feature of kit kat, you can access the recently dialled numbers from the options down below mate. And just restore what's app data from a previous backup. csmart 472 Report post Posted March 1, 2014 I am using OmniRoM on my Note 2 for almost 3 weeks or so... Its clean, stable and without any useless apps. It is pure "nexus" type ROM. You can choose from minimal Google apps (about 82mb) to all Google apps (272mb). There are two versions of ROM, multi windows and regular. Multi window is for viewing two apps simultaneously. I am using multi window version. Only problem I found was that at times, it is slow to wake up from standby. kshah 452 Report post Posted June 14, 2014 4.4.2 ODIN file downloaded from team US cellular, will try flashing phone tomorrow, Planning to flash only SYSTEM first, if it works well then try flashing radio and if it works fine then KERNEL.
