Samsung Nexus 4G CDMA, Number with name not display.

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have google nexus 4G CDMA and its updated 4.1.1.

Whenever I dialled any phone using dialling keypad, it never show remining number in my phone book.

I am explaing again.

I have one number in my phone book i.e. 09314508470 in the name of Pramod

When ever I dial this number >> 093145... it never shows remaining number, so I need to dial complet number.

Earlier it shows remaining number so that I just select the number and dial it. even other phone are doing the same.

if any setting is missing, please suggest.

thanks in advance.

Click Dial icon, then settings/Dialpad Settings/.

Check whether Enable t9 Dialler is selected. If not, Select it.

Don't have nexus but this setting is on AOSP ROM so presuming it should be there on Nexus also.

I did TTY with all options, but no benefit.

Whenever I punch complete number than call button, while dialing it shows caller photo as well.

Sandeep, I have the same phone i.e. Galaxy Nexus LTE.

This being a pure Google phone does not have any bells & whistles. In short, it does not have T9 dialler that even the stupidest entry level phones have.

Install "exDialler" app from G Play. It looks and feels exactly same as the stock dialler but with added functionalities. It will solve your problem.

Are you on stock rom? Are you using stock dialler? I am using SlimRom on the Nexus S 4g with stock dialer and am able to view names as you wanted! Even with stock rom earlier, never had the issue!

Nexus S is a different model from Galaxy Nexus. I have the Galaxy Nexus and it does not have T9 in stock dialer.

Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2

I would recommend third-party firmware like Cyanogenmod or AOKP - they've T9 dialer and lot of more features compared to stock / AOSP and are very stable on Nexus devices. Or for your purpose, like someone earlier suggester - get other Dialer / contacts app from Play Store.

As a sideline, I wanted to check with RIMweb experts what happens to CDMA programming, MEID registration / activation and all when you flash ROMs on CDMA android phones? Are they kept intact or do we have to do anything? I've flashed custom ROMs and MODs on so many GSM android phones but very new to CDMA android phones.
