Motorola Droid Razr M (Global)

Recommended Posts

I just tried a SIM with series RECRUC06xxxxx, but it still did not show APN options. Are there other ways to ensure 3G if APN does not show?

Venbab i have RECRUC611, but no option show there

I have mentioned above that sim cards with series RECRUC05 or higher will work based on the other users experience, however I have used 3 different sim cards with RGERUC0008***** series on 2 different handsets and have got APN add option on all sim cards.

If I am correct, 3G will not work on this handset without APN.

After many research finally i got the way to use reliance evdo on STOCK KITKAT (TESTED ON DROID RAZR M).

1- First of all you need a blank reliance reliance standard omh ruim having series starting from RGER UC XXXX.

Picture for reference - post-82121-0-04427100-1420739684_thumb.j

2 - visit reliance store and transfer your cdma no to the new RGER UC XXXX series RUIM.

3 - insert new into handset, then go to SETTINGS>MORE>MOBILE NETWORKS>ACCESS POINT NAMES.

now you can see a + sign in top.

picture for reference - post-82121-0-08227700-1420739673_thumb.p

4 - click on + sign and fill the setting as below -

name - RCOM

apn - #777

proxy - leave blank

port - leave blank

user name - net

password - net

server - leave blank

MMSC - leave blank

mms proxy - leave blank

mms port - leave blank

mcc - 404

mnc - 00

authentication type - PAP or CHAP

apn type - leave blank

apn protocol - leave blank

bearer - leave blank

then save the settings and select the RCOM profile.

hurray.. enjoy.. just enable the data.

FOR ANDROID 4.1.2 - need sim series RCER UC05 / RGER UC (RECR UC06 NOT WORK)

FOR ANDROID 4.4.2 - RGER UC (RECR UC06 NOT WORK)

Off late My Droid Razr M is always only on 1x and it very rarely gets into 3g. Whenever I am on wifi the netwrok type and strength shows both 1x & 3g as in the below image

post-43901-0-00882300-1426153460_thumb.p

It shows both 3g & 1x signals as soon I switch off the Wifi network.

post-43901-0-13945800-1426153566_thumb.p

But it shows only 1x in a short while and latches onto only 1x signal

Anyone else facing this problem.

Also during my recent trip to Chennai the data connection was disconnected as soon as I entered Tamil Nadu and it was restored back only after I entered Karnataka.

Can anyone help me out with a solution for the above problem.

Once EVDO has been activated it does not needs to be reactivated. If we send SMS again then we get reply that EVDO is already activated and cannot be activated

The Data connectivity issue seems to be solved for the time being after sending a mail to customercare@relianceada.com.

Did you try going to Wireless and more --> Wireless networks --> Mobile networks

and then check if data is enabled also check global data access for roaming is allowed or not.

Finally check for APN settings.

If still not working then post your build number and baseband with your sim type.

Hi All,

I am unable to send out international SMS from my Motorola Droid Razr M. At the same time I am able to send out local and national text messages.

It's so strange that I get a "Message not sent" error message when I try to send out an international SMS from my phone.

A quite interesting fact is that, I tried the same with my father's Motorola Luge phone and I get the same error message.

Is it that with Motorola phones we cannot send out international text messages ??

I have tried with numbers prefixed with both 00 and + but same result.

The OS version in my phone is Kitkat 4.4.2.

BTW, my father and myself are on Reliance CDMA.

Thanks

Nibin

On my Droid Maxx, I was unable to send message when I selected a name from the contacts.

After reading this thread, I realized that the numbers are starting with +91. I edited one contact (my other number) and tried sending it.

It works.

So, is it that Reliance does not like +91 on Motorola/ Verizon phones?

The SMSC setting (in the hidden network options) is blank. I cannot refresh it nor update it.

My issue is bit more strange. I am able to send SMS to all over India with and without indian ISD code prefixed (0091 and +91).

But I am not able to send any SMS to a foreign country for e.g UK number with +44 or 0044, I get this error message "Message not set"

Recently purchased Motorola Droid XT-907 on a trip abroad and have a post paid Reliance CDMA RG-sim installed in it. Voice is working excellent and coverage is also great but am not getting data. Network is visible and strength is good but phone does not connect to data.

Tried with the local Reliance guy but he has no clue what I am talking about.

Would anybody have Reliance CDMA data settings (or any other solution) for Motorola Droid XT-907 please?

Not a tech person so please request simple language reply

Thanx

Bootloader for razr m can be unlocked. Update to Kitkat to unlock. I have successfully updated to Kitkat and unlocked bootloader.

Follow the points in order to upgrade to kitkat and unlock bootloader.

1). Download 4.4.2 kitkat sbf (VZW_XT907_4.4.2-KDA20.62-10.1_CFC_1FF.xml.zip)

http://www.drdevs.com/devs/livinginkaos/FXZ%20files/XT907%20(Droid%20RAZR%20M)/

or

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byqu946SkZuqU1AyTTZQUW41M28/edit?usp=sharing

2). Install Java (1.7 or later) if not already installed. http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/java-se-jre-7-download-432155.html

3). Download RSDScriptGenerator from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byqu946SkZuqQ2pGNWlUT1M3YUE/edit?usp=sharing

4). Extract the zip file from step 1 and copy RSDScriptGenerator inside the extracted folder.

5). Run RSDScriptGenerator.jar and select the xml file and then click on generate scripts. It will generate 3 xml files FULL, KEEP-DATA and UNIVERSAL.

6). Select Keep-Data if you want to keep all the apps and data or universal for full flash.

7). Now connect your razr m in ap fastboot mode and flash using rsdlite 6.1.4

8). After flash download and install towelroot (tr.apk) from https://towelroot.com/ by clicking on lambda image. This will root the device by installing super user.

9). Install motopocalypse apk from https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byqu946SkZuqbFhVSFVpQVBQS3M/edit?usp=sharing

10). Start motopocalypse and press unlock bootloader. Provide permission once it asks for root permission.

11). Boot into ap fastboot and check status code 3 and unlocked.

Note: I will not be responsible if you brick your device in the unlock process.

How does unblock help?

For issue related to roaming, the modem/ radio version could be a cause.

Try down/upgrading the modem and test again.

Gurus please help me.

I was using GSM sim with this handset and it was working fine with voice & data both.

Just out of curiosity, I entered the Network testing menu - see first picture.

Then I changed the radio band to "USA band".  - see pics 2 & 3.

Now, I have tried all permutations & combinations of radio band (i.e. USA Band & Cellular) with different "network types".

But it is just not connecting to the network. The sim is OK because the same sim works in other handsets.

I even did hard reset but still no luck.
