Got it unlocked: D

Following are the steps I followed for benefit of othersJ:

1. Got S-off with Firewater. I was on latest 1.56 hboot http://firewater-soff.com/instructions/

2. Downgraded hboot 1.56 to hboot 1.44. You can find the hboot on XDA.

3. I was on unlocked boot-loader. So I relocked the boot-loader using fastboot, (type this cmd: “fastboot oem lock” without quotes. This will relock the boot-loader. This is needed to flash back to stock.)

4. Used RUU utility & flashed back to stock. I used this - Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.10_RUU.zip

5. Now I am on 4.1.2. Unlock boot-loader again, installed TWRP custom recovery and rooted. There are tons of guides for that. You can use THIS

6. After that I used the steps in OP posted by @Vinod Nayak to get sim unlock J

Flashing the ruu will get back to factory sprint and then you can try again.

Renaming the 2 files and giving permission is important step when u are doing unlock.

Hi Sanjeev,

I have Sprint HTC One 4.4.2 HBoot 1.56.

For point 2 I have searched on XDA and I didn't found any clue about how to edit the android-info.txt file for my phone info.

Also my download for Sprint_HTC_One_m7wls_1.29.651.10_RUU.zip is constantly breaking/failing, can you please share your downloaded file.

Thanks,

Puneet

Downgrade hboot to 1.44 (use the stock sprint hboot) (You can check here - i think it is the last one) - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2314921

For downloading I used the same link. Maybe you can try downloading using a different browser or try this - http://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=22979706399752997

Thanks flashed this HBoot 1.44. Now downloading the ruu, keeping my fingers crossed that this time it will work.

Will update you.

--- Update 09 July 2014 ---- 00:30---

Just gave previously downloaded ruu a try and it worked with the newly installed HBoot 1.44.
And rest of the process is a piece of cake :)
Thanks all including the OP for the help and guidance

Sent from my Falcon_CDMA (Moto G)

Copy these files via root explorer to root/system/app. Reboot and run ViperSIMunlocker.apk after confirmed root.

Tried the above solution still GSM not unlocking. Tried Sim Unlock Helper & Terminal Emulator but No Success

Am i missing something here ??

Your HTC S-Off ? Or S-On ?

It is S-on

With S-on, even if you replace the patched apk, your system reverts back to the original file after the reboot.

Flash TWRP, copy the required file(patched Sprint apk) on to your sdcard, reboot to twrp, mount system, got to file manager and copy the patched Sprint apk and paste it in system/app/, before doing this backup the original file first. Once the file is copied, reboot the phone and run the vipers HTC ONE SIM unlock helper and follow steps mentioned in the OP.
