sorry this is slight off topic,

desire xc has also similar dual sim slots. at the back it reads for the first slot CDMA/UMTS and for second slot it reads GSM

but none of this reflects inside the dual sim networks settings.

now when i tried pushing a gsm sim in the first slot, it didnt read it.

so is it going to be similar in this case of htc one too where it says SIM 1 CDMA & 3G

like they are manufacturing same unit to be launched in different places as 3g+gsm & evdo+gsm combo.

Pkdagaji, what happens if you switch the sum cards? Except the data speeds does it make difference in phone functioning?

yeah, the price is a bomb. i guess six months down it will be a more price to product ratio justifiable.

its the top notch flag ship product right now. so only for those you love to have the current gen stuff as it comes.

Sad that it doesn't support SVDO... Obviously they gave more importance to GSM 3G than EVDO

they have only ordered 4750 sets as of now

keeping a hefty margin per set

I remember reading a report somewhere that HTC india imported approx. 5,000 HTC DNA & majority of them remained unsold due to unrealistic pricing. This one looks like meeting the same fate!

Its sad that HTC never takes Indian smartphone market seriously wrt price... At least in this case, there is almost NIL competition and hence they are charging premium. But even their lower mid-end phones (specs lower than S2) are priced almost equal to that of S3...
