Please suggest a Girl's phone (GSM)

Recommended Posts

My brother's daughter, who has completed college wants to purchase a new GSM phone. The requirements are,

1. Cute looking colourful phone.

2. Android

3. Budget is not a problem - so a high end is preferred (Not interested in Apple 5C)

Earlier there was HTC Rhyme. Expecting something similiar. Please give your suggestions.

Thanks.

I'd say get her Motorola droid ultra.

Hot looking phone which performs well.

It comes in shiny red and available on eBay India. Roughly 42k

I am sure if show off was the agenda then he wouldn't rule out iPhone 5c.

You guys are spoiling Motorola image by suggesting it as cute phone. Pink are for ladies but no way moto is cute.

To show off I agree for red blue etc.

Lol.

On the contrary I would rather say Moto makes one of the the most manly phones out there.

Solid build quality. No wonder Moto has found use in military communication equipments..

That's different Motorola you are talking about. There is a difference between Motorola Mobility(owned by Google) and Motorola Solutions(which develops high security devices).

Interesting Lenovo

lenovo S820 in RED color is very very attractive hot looking thing.

4.7 inch screen is bezeled out from body which gives quite luxurious feel similar to nexus.

with competitive specs and high 12mp camera. quite a unbeatable phone.

bought it recently for a friend.

i was not aware of any gender specific phones anymore than there are gender specific cars or even white goods.

any girl's AC or girls washing machines or fans or laptops?

its much easier to simply buy any handset that suits your budget and put a 'girly' cover on it!

i'm not going to suggest pink since its such a cliche but whatever floats your boat...

maybe even 'bedazzle' it like teenagers do abroad for a uniquely gaudy look.

i know some indian brands tried feminine phones like micromax bling which totally flopped in the market and are not readily available anymore - which says more about the concept and demand for girly products than the fact that women don't buy gadgets.

japan has hello kitty handsets [again for teenagers] but not much for adults since most girls just customise the cover with photos etc.

p.s.:

just noticed one of the requirements was 'cute' but not iphone

that's such a personal preference, we might as well ask total strangers to suggest a fav colour or 'best song'!

everyone has widely different interpretations of 'cuteness'...

also is it ironic that only men have given suggestions so far?

any girls out there who want to weigh in?

Only MEN know the opposite gender better so they have suggested ladies usually keep what is given to them

and GIRLS even if they WEIGH wont tell you their WEIGHT

Fair & Lovely has a huge untapped business opportunity to cash on by making a "Cute, good looking, slim & last but not the least - Fair Smartphone" [sarcasm]
