Galaxy Nexus Sprint L700 - System Updates and Connection Problem

Recommended Posts

Two Issues:

[1] System Update

I recently got my Sprint Nexus L700 programmed to reliance. Its just been a couple of days and I am receiving a System Update pop up almost 30 times a day.... the person who programmed the phone told me 'not to update'

Hence I need expert's advice as to how i can remove the updates or stop getting that update.

Appreciate the help.

[2] Device not recognised

When I connect my device it does not get recognised to my Laptop/desktop... it neither does any charging when connected..

it says INTF2 driver could not be installed :(

Install Sprintdignostic apk from this thread http://www.rimweb.in/forums/topic/26585-programming-softwares/ and disable usb diagnostics mode. If it doesnt install, copy it to system/app folder using root explorer.

Phone is in USB diagnosis mode so its asking for unknown intf2 drivers.

U can turn off diagnosis mode by above mention methods.

For reverting back to stock there are many stock zip on xda

Also if stock tar / Odin is require let me know will upload.

For turning off autoupdate I have already mention tweak in nexus original thread.

Will suggest mods to mearge this topic with original nexus thread.

tapatalking.....

if you still have driver issue, then open sprint diagnostic app (cdmatool app)

open data menu, scroll at bottom, OTHER ---> then you will see ETS option, change to USB or URTA

phone will be in normal mode.

Below are factory images for nexus sprint, if u want zip for recovery flash, will upload it tomorrow.

  1. Factory Images "mysidspr" for Galaxy Nexus "toroplus" (Sprint CDMA/LTE)
    1. Android 4.1.1 (FH05)
    2. Android 4.2.1 (GA02)

Just dial *#*#3424#*#* and select PDA under USB.

If u have locked bootloader, non rooted, system and both radio on same version and stock recovery then onlyy update will be successful on ota

Otherwise it will fail!

Great!

Y'day I anyway had all my patience dried with the annoying pop up of System Updates, so took a back phone made it ready and took a chance and installed...some things happened and finally my phone rebooted, and it was normal :)

Thanks to you hitesh :) my programmer did not even have this basic knowledge of suggesting this.... i have one more nexus (verizon) which my bro loves.... this guy programmed that too but data does not work on that :( and my bro gives me a hard look even now.... ... i paid him a lil extra than what was decided and trusted him.... but it all goes in vain...

Thanks will try this weekend

Did you try?

gosh! :( the effect is still there, 'the network goes off' problem still exists.. I just received a call from my Dad, I kept the phone on speaker and observed that I got a msg 'Radio Off' and followed by 'Call Lost' and then the network disappeears simultaneously and this would not come back till I reboot :( - Hiteshji you can understand how important communication is.... need your extertise to fix this asap.... kindly advice

Just change Radio , nothing I can say,

Its not akey issue for sure, as in akey issue, network dont go away.

also verify that your MEID / ESN are showing as normal and not as unknown.

for sprint version, here are stock radios only thread on xda

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2195481

how to flash is mention in same thread.

you should be bootloader unlocked with root and recovery installed.

then from you can flash radios from fast boot or from recovery.

to make falshing easy thru fastboot you can use nexus tool kit.

finally i was able to get hold of my programmer, he told me that 'Radio Off' call lost problem might not be due to radios however he changed the radio to fc12 (updated one) using adb programming.

I thought everything is now ok, but alas! the problem still persists :(

Hi Guys,

How to update the My Phone number section in phone status page. It just shows 936 000 0000.

I want to update it. i'm running 4.1.1 , the page also has MIN details, is this the same MIN we needs to save it for future use?
