[need info] One Way Sync of Files

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am looking for a utility / app which can pull files from FTP server and save to a local folder.

as soon as any changes happen on FTP folder this app should pull data from FTP folder and save to local drive.

it is something like drop-box but only server to local pc

no reverse sync require.

Also destination folder on local drive will have many files, which should not be touched, only overwriting is permeated

any free or paid app for same type of use ?

or any one can write a small app for doing this ?

if require i can buy a FTP server or we can use many free to use cloud storage like dropbox, gdrive, cubby etc..

looking for some suggestions.

Hitesh bhai,

Try WinSCP, as per the documentation http://winscp.net/eng/docs/faq_keep_local_up_to_date it can be done, It is easy please refer to this screen shot http://winscp.net/eng/docs/ui_synchronize for more info.

I have not tried this feature of WinSCP, hopefully it will serve your purpose.

Thanks,

Check rsync. It is little complicated but very good and do exactly what you want. Their web site http://rsync.samba.org/
