Your phone should latch to 4G and Data will work only if you recharge with 4G pack (Prepaid) or Subscribe to 4G data pack (Postpaid). For calls and SMS it will switch to 2G/3G network.

Is your phone able to connect to 4G network?

Is manual scan showing Reliance 4G or any other 4G network?

Which specific model ? VS985 or LS990.

LS990 supports : LTE band 25(1900), 26(850), 41(2500)

You need to unlock Band 3, 5 & 40 to use it.

anyone tried unlocking lte bands on a pure cdma phone with lte support through sim card?

I tried doing it on motorola xt901 but failed till now. managed to enable many lte bands through QPST QXDM ANS mztools using help from XDA... i have RCOM 4G sim which shows as "No Sim-No service" on the lock screen... But i can see the Sim toolkit and can operate it too...

Do i need LTE only Sim from Jio to test it fully?

Is it actually possible? My sprint note4 does not recognize both R jio and RCom4g networks in lte mode. Rcom works as GSM with less then 1x data speed. Id like to try unlocking the LTE bands process.

It supports following 4G bands:

LTE band 2(1900), 4(1700/2100), 5(850), 12(700), 17(700)

Type *#*#4636#*#*

in phone information select mode as GSM/LTE and check if it detects Rcom band 5.

First confirm if Rcom network is available in your area using any other phone.

Most Sprint sets don't have the radio for other LTE bands, so even if you enable other bands no signal will come.
Band 26 and Band 5 are same at 850 but till now haven't been able to get any Sprint device catch Band 5. Both Jio & Rcom 850 signal are present
