HTC Desire 816 Virgin MIC issues on call

Recommended Posts

Hi Gurus,

I recently bought HTC Desire 816 virgin model and programmed it to work with RCDMA. Every thing works fine(including Rev-B) except , most of the times the MIC is not working in the calls. XDA suggested switching speaker mode on/off to resolve the issue but still not working.

I tried almost all the custom roms (CM12, CM12.1 etc), i'm facing the mic issue on all the ROM's. Even i tried going back to stock kitkat and update it to stock lollipop via OTA. The MIC issue exists in STOCK lollipop also.

Anybody facing the same issue, is there any fix for this. Because i'm totally dependent on voice calls.

Please help.

You check with htc care centre, may be its problem with hardware not software.

Thanks Rafic! i have unlocked 2 HTC desire 510 as per your procedure in the other thread, but before that i had played with desire 816 by following many threads in XDA.

steps that i followed.

1. unloacked bootloader

2. enabled DIAG

3. with QPST i changed bands (removed CDMA band and this is what i made a mistake)

4. tried GSM sims but didnt not work, and disabled DIAG (another crap that i did)

5. now, radio seems to be off and on after some time it keeps stable but in the phone information its stays at WCDMA.

6. I wanted to revert back the changes, but could not enable DIAG again, if I enter MSL, it just accepts and reboots but no DIAG mode.

please let me know if you have any idea to enable DIAG so that I revert back changes.

Hi Rafic,

I got my HTC 816 S-off and able to revert back the bands that i had modified, now my phone is on stock rock.

I had performed the same steps like for 510, but i can still see that UICC\nosim error.

Please let me know if there is anything that needs to be performed.

Thanks!
