Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 supports CDMA

Recommended Posts

Disable Data.

Connect to Wifi.

Remove your SIM Card Tray.

Check if it says SIM Card removed.

Reboot your device.

Make sure you are still connected to Wifi.

Now insert your SIM Tray

Enable Mobile Data

Disconnect wifi,should work..

Edit:-

I've been using RMN3 longer even before it launched in India..

I've tried everything, from SIMs,using DFS ,checking Verbose over logcat

So I've had a lot of experience over this..

This is the only method working, until we get a custom ROM

Anyways saw you guys weren't getting it right..thought of sharing .

Try it couple of times exactly as said..

Set it before taking out the SIM out

Move to the China ROM if you have to

There is no way to set default internet connection to cdma one IF the sim tray is removed, as per your method.... lolz

Tried this on a evdo working sim. Does not work. All crap...

Before taking out the SIM,set the default connection to RCOM

This method is working 100%

The procedure is same as suggested..the problem is modem resets every time you insert a new SIM,and that doesn't seem to be happening with RMN3,only the above method does for me

Done nothing just put up the sim and turn on

Ps. Sent the message has 55333 waiting for update ..

PS. There is one update is ready to install but it doesn't have any changelog so as of now I am trying to avoid it .. May be the patch about CDMA closure

Default connection is already set to Reliance on sim 1. Not working for me. Also when wifi is on, it will always take precedence over mobile network.

Wifi should take priority over mobile network, that is exactly what I want it to do..

Anyways go to MIUI Forum, migrate to China ROM and try using this procedure..

I get weekly updates ,so every update would disable my internet..and this is what I do to get it back.

The ROM plays a major role as well

So is the rumour true .?

Will CDMA be replaced by RCOM 4G ??

Yup. May 1 is the deadline, at least here in West U. P.

Did you guys receive any message ??

Any insights on the plans ?

http://m.moneycontrol.com/news/business/rcom-to-upgrade-all-cdma-customers-to-4g-networkmay_6175881.html

They will start giving new GSM (LTE) sims in 5-6 days to existing customers. But I would still prefer Jio as I have reliability issues with Anil Ambani... lolz

I just spoke to my contact in local webworld in Kochi. He too confirmed that all RCDMA subscribers are automatically being switched over to 4G GSM from 01 May 16. He also said that RJIO launch is expected next month but things will be more clear in a week

Could you ask if we need to buy a new SIM or anything ??

Because if it's on 1st May,then it's less than a month to migrate.

And they haven't made anything public or even notified the existing users..
