Reliance CDMA Shutting down

Recommended Posts

I see the connection has worsened much in Chennai. Where I used to be able to get EVDO through out the City now its happening in patches. Phone often goes to 1x and heating up a lot.

I also using in Chennai...going smoothly, do u received any MSG from rcom regarding 4G in Chennai...

No I didn't get any message but there are network issues not faced before. Are you using EVDO ? Places where I used to get steady EV Signal now is fluctuating badly and speed often goes to 1x - Even during Weekends !

Is it so that we have to convert to RGSM and get a 4G sim initially.

And then when Jio launches, the 4G net will be provided by Jio and not RGSM.

Please correct me if i am wrong.

Cost of 4g sim card is Rs 25/-. For upgrade customer has to send a sms from his existing cdma no. Sms format is 4g19 digit 4g sim no to 1299. Upgrade can also be done by calling 1299 and entering 19 digit 4g sim no.

What about 4g prepaid plans and recharge. Will existing CDMA plans recharge work after upgrading to 4g LTE. What about our existing data balance in CDMA sim. Will same data balance carried forward on 4g lte sims.

That means that all CDMA phones will be of no use as they cant be converted into GSM network.

Its bit confusing.

RCOM is asking to shift to GSM from CDMA.

Has it to be RCDMA>RGSM>4G (Using INP)

or

RCDMA>4G (Without INP)

So who will get 4G Services, RGSM or RCDMA customers?

^^ why evdo dongle?

Is it possible that they plan to keep one 1.25 Mhz slot for evdo? or shifting pro3 to MTS towers?

Only for cdma customers. Rgsm not allowed.

Migration has not started yet. For the first phase circles it will start from 25th. Customers can purchase the 4g sim and register their request by sending the sms. Migration will start in batches from 25th of this month.

But in Punjab they are migrating all CDMA customers to GSM. Daily getting calls.

My 1 number is only left in CDMA should I wait for converting it to 4G or convert it to RGSM.

Is Punjab in First Phase circles to get 4G SIM?

I have already completed both my CDMA to GSM , same everyday 4/5 calls from Johal market dealer

should have waited with 1 number at least ......
