Tata Indicom cse called and said termination date of 15th May 2016 for it's own customers in Ahmedabad city service area. They asked to migrate to GSM Tata DoCoMo. Later I called up customer care and they said no such information given to us.

Are you sure? I just called their cc and they were unaware of it. I never received any communication from them either. What's your source of this info?

Is RCDMA really sutting down or is it a ploy by RCDMA to migrate customers to RGSM + 4G network and then eventually continue CDMA services by automatic (without MNP) fallback to MTS CDMA for customers who do not opt for 4G upgrade

Does anyone has any concrete info on this.

They are still giving new CDMA prepaid and postpaid connections in Gujarat. Some store guys upgrade the new customers to 4G after 24 hours of activation on CDMA.

If they stop activation that will be lost.

After 30 may I think call will with 2g and data will be with band 5😉

If that's I'll port out with another CDMA carrier because cdma calling is smoother than GSM and good coverage

Can I port in back ? Recently, recharged my cdma prepaid with 75 Rs. They call it LTE recharge. Then, RWW people gave me a 4G sim card & sent an SMS with 4G sim card details to 1299.

So, I understand, when 4G is active, my CDMA will stop.

Now, I get some indication that cdma may last little long. So, can I Take Back my Port Out request ? Any info ?

Friends please have some patience. Let them launch the 4G and wait till official info on tarrifs.

Although i feel that existing benefits will be restored soon, but we must wait till they come clear on everything. They cant shut down cdma without clearing all doubts.

My plan is to stay on cdma till last day.

This is the reason i have kept my personal number away from upgrade to 4g

Rather went for an extra only data cdma number for 4g upgrade

First i want to have a feel of the rcom 4g with this extra number then will decide to go for rcom 4g with my original number

But the big thing is that 4g is not starting :(

I was also of this thought, but made mistake yesterday. Upgraded to 4G SIM and lost my lifetime plan. It's now 2p/s and on RGSM. And I see a possibility of RCDMA continuing in Delhi. Why Reliance made a mess f situation.. just why. Do hell with them. Enough of Reliance. not even Jio. <annoyed>

Patience is the key, you will be having previous plan, please wait for 3 to 4 days then revert.

There are no clarification by Reliance for close CDMA service.

Reliance do lot advertising for upgrade 4g For CDMA customers.

Rcom is watching how many cdma customers accept 4g.

If the ratio is less than reliance continues for CDMA.

Agreed

No one should go for upgrade unless one is not satisfied with the services of cdma which is very unlikely

Lets hang on to cdma till the last breath

We are using cdma for one reason or the other may be its indoor coverage for some may be extremely low prices for data

May be super voice clarity

Lets wait and watch

When cdma closing anouncment is there then we should upgrade

Or one can go for upgrade if he has extra numbers laying to test the 4g

If this is the case, they will have to run CDMA and 4G on same spectrum simultaneously. Is that possible?

Cdma will close for sure

Becase they already have made spectrum deal with jio

No confusion about cdma closure

Only thing confusing is when they are going to close

Today I received this message: "Dear Customer,we are upgrading to 4G. You may face intermittent network issues. We regret the inconvenience and seek support during this process. Thx RCOM".

Looks like 4g will be activated soon, and yes cdma will continue for some time. If it was to be closed with 4g launch we all would have received communication in that regard to upgrade or port else your services will be discontinued.
