Smartphones that will work on Reliance 4G

Recommended Posts

Anyone using ASUS Zenfone 2 laser  ZE550KL model. Is this model support Rcom 4G LTE  band 5. In mobile  specifications it is not mentioned.

But in the phone manual search Reliance 4G network is showing along with other 4G networks

or  In manual search shows all the networks irrespective of bands supporting ?

It is hardware dependent - Hardware should support as well as Software should also have facility to invoke/enable VoLTE when required.

Volte is a pure software thing. It depends on high speed / low latency packet flow which is provided by LTE.

However, phone hardware does provide codecs/supporting implementation on firmware to make life easy for developers.

Yes, Manual search will show all Network, but to Register on a particular network - handset should support the Band.

Example: to register on Reliance 4G, your handset should support LTE 850 MHz [Band 5].

best wishes

I think manual search would show the networks for which it has support for.

But If you have a handset with Band 5 support - you will have a better indoor connectivity.

As we all know the quality and speed of Mobile telephony and Data is all about signal strength.

VoLTE depends on IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) which should be present in the SOC used in the mobile device - and only then software can be used for communication through this feature when enabled on handset as well as on the operator side.

IMS is present in latest SOC's only and not in all older ones - No need to frown go and download datasheets of SOC.

For some reason, my Redmi Note 3 is slower than other phones in data speeds. Anyone else facing this issue (only happening with RCOM).

Well I guess even TRAI isn't responding on the petition.

If so, we will have to draft a petition against TRAI or get some of the powerful leaders like Mr. Subramanyam Swamy to take charge of these scammers.
