I Screwed Myself

Recommended Posts

Ok people I SCREWED MYSELF and Yes Anujit more than you did!

I dropped my new 6255 not even a month old from third floor. Yes I did.

And I had a horrible time finding my new 1 GB card that I bought just yesterday which fell 10 ft away from where rest of the three parts were lying.

Anyways I gathered all the three parts and switched on and to my utter delight it was working. I made and received calls easily. Then finally I found the media card as well which as I said was lying far off from where the rest of things were.

This was working too.

Bluetooth is working as well

And Yes I am connected via USB to internet right now!

Tried Media player and Music player, everything seems to be in order.

Havent tried radio as yet.

Now here are my problems.

1. there is a small crevice between the two parts of the keypad near the IR port.

2. the hinges of the multimedia card slot That metallic flap has slightly been deformed and it is not closing properly, however placing the battery over it and closing the plastic cover does make everything work properly

Now what should I do?

Is the repair free for certain limited period with nokia?

Will they put in a new Multimedia card slot or repair this one only?

How much will it cost even if it is paid?

Will they grepair it immediately or keep it

Should I get it repaired from some local person?

Mukul buddy can you give me the address of the Lajpat Nagar Nokia care center as Green Park is closed on Tuesdays.

Pleas Help me People!

Anyone who has had experience with Nokia can give your comments!

I wont be able to respond tonight but please do leave your messages here!

Thanks in advance.

Yes and talk nicely to them and maska them! Physically damaging your set isnt covered under any warranty. They should be decent enough to repair it for free if it doesnt cost much. If you have a "source" at the repair center it will make things that much easier.

i have experiance of nokia service center, actualy these people told me that warenty is for manufacturing faults not for this kind of damag. now first of all nokia people will charge you service charge, i have been charged rs 645 only at pune, but still i recomend you must go to nokia service center because they can better take care of your handset.

Dear Tanveer

You have to go Brightpoint, Okhla for any problem regarding CDMA Handsets.

Secondly, Only replacement of Handset takes place there.

Third, Nokia gives replacement as per warranty terms and condition.

Fourth, If you arrange some jugad in Nokia then you can get your handset replace otherwise forget it.

If you are get replacement it might take replacement to come so please swap your handset before submitting your handset with them.
