amitbt22 2 Report post Posted April 7, 2006 Its useless in terms of ringtones not audible easily very low volume & Outdated 8 chord polyphonic.Comparison to 2112,in ne respect no comparison man with this damn piece like all low end lg handset.But far better signal strength comparatively,After all in this field nokia cdma rocks.I think it must hav better battery backup than nokia 2112 but after all nk 2112 hav Torch & Rworld application for more battery consumption. srig 0 Report post Posted February 27, 2007 NOKIA 1255 is a third quality product from NOKIA dumped on INDIA . It has very low battery backup , the battery drains within a day whether you make or receive calls .The ringtone is so low you can hardly hear when in traffic , I have missed many calls when in traffic.Even the SMS standard tone is awful .Hope both RELIANCE and TATA get to the basics before choosing a handset for there customers. OR let NOKIA give in some enhancements to the existing handset so that the performance improves.Even if NOKIA gives me another 1255 free of cost I would reject it . I have taken a recharge of four hundred something that gives 2 years incoming free with Rs.1500/- R2R talktime. I have a Nokia 1255 with me (A friend upgraded from 1255 to 6088) which is empty. Can I get it RUIM enabled so that I could use the free talktime of Rs.1500/-. I can send someone to gaffar market, karol bagh. I know it is a 10 minutes job coz I have done that myself for Huawei EC325. But I dont have and I do not want have the hardware for 1255.
