I'm trying to do these steps with the UTstarcom PPC6700 but I find that BitPim does not list the 6700 in the list of phones. I tried selecting "Other CDMA phone" from the list but that doesn't seem to connect to the phone. I'm using the latest version of BitPim and when I connected the phone to the USB it got recognized as "HTC Diagnostic Interface (COM6)" on my laptop.

Pls guys somebody tell me what is the whole point of extracting the spc.

Amit

you will need SPC to program any NVM parameters such as ESN or MIN.

I think u using reliance official handset, i dont think u will need SPC for any use.

any suggestions as to how one reads NVM filesystem on 6900? QXDM? QPST? - I have both (QXDM 3.09.19) (QPST 2.7) CDMA Workshop doesn't really work either... :Equivocado:

I tried so many times to configure my 6700 to work with metro.\, all I am getting is welcome to american roaming network. I try to use this method but bitpim will not detect my phone or let me get the nvm file. It detects mt phone as a modem and not a serial and HTC instead of quialcommm. Can someone please help me. Thanks.
