  1. Samsung Corby Speed CDMA Launched

I have two so-called universal chargers. One is actually a multi-model charger and not a universal charger, that has three inputs (car-charger, AC power and emergency key-chain battery), one cable to connect input to output, and five outputs (Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericson, Motorola and LG). I paid Rs.90 for it. The other is a universal mobile battery charger, wherein you can charge any battery of any cell-phone by removing the battery and adjusting the contacts on the charger to fit the contacts on the battery. I paid Rs.65 for the charger and Rs.600 for a spare Nokia BL-6C battery for my Nokia 6275 handset. This is a better option, since the spare battery gets charged while I am using the cell-phone with the original battery, and vice-versa.

  3. Surprise Launch Of LG RD 9800 !

I had received an SMS on 04th June 2007, 12:48:08 from 1232 saying "DearRelianceCustomer New feature rich LG Music Phone with stereo sound VCamera &MP3 available for Rs18990 at Reliance outlets.Limited stocks". I enquired at WebWorld Cunningham Road, Bangalore. It is LG 9800 'Czar' as I had expected, but yet to come to Bangalore. So the price is Rs.18,990/=.
  4. Nokia 3125- R Connect Problems

I had the same problem a year back when I bought Nokia 3125. Websites of both Reliance and Nokia said the handset supports DKU-5. But it did not. Then I tried *333 (Reliance service centre) who asked me to clarify from Nokia Service Centre, who in turn told me that it does not support DKU-5 and adviced me to go for CA-42. Even after that I could not connect with an original Nokia CA-42. Finally, somebody in Reliance Service Centre (*333) told me to open up the modem properties through the Control Panel on my PC and enter "at+crm=1;+cso=33" (without the quotes of course) on the Extra Initialisation Commands of the Advanced tab. THIS WORKED FOR ME !!!
  5. How To Upload .mid Ringtones To Nokia 3125

I've been grappling with this issue for the past 14 months since the day I replaced my GTRAN handset with Nokia 3125, using PC Suite 6.4, 6.6 and finally 6.8. However, I tried removing the .MID extension only last week on PC Suite 6.8. Unfortunately I became a member of this site only yesterday. Otherwise I would have saved myself a lot of trouble. I also came across Logomanager's MobiMB last week. It is excellent for transferring files even with the .MID extensions. Further, while PC SUite allows transfer of Java games and applications only to the Applications folder of your handset, MobiMB allows you to transfer them even to and from the Games folder. Also, you can even replace the inbuilt tones of your handset, which you cannot access with PC Suite. If you transfer midi ringtones to your handset through PC Suite, you cannot set it as a Group Ringtone as it is not displayed in the Settings or Caller-Groups Menu. It is only displayed in the gallery, from where you can set it as the Default Ringtone. But if you use MobiMB, it is also displayed in the Settings and Caller-Groups menu of the handset. This is a very pecular problem I have faced. Further, I have been able to upload Midi files upto 25KB through Nokia PC Suite but a 26KB Midi file failed to upload. It did not say that the File size is too large. It just failed to upload.
