1) This is an issue with the speaker. I had the same problem. I had to change my ear piece, which was around 500/-. Go to any mobile service center and they will do it for u. 2) Download WebOsQuickInstall to ur PC. You can download and install apps from ur PC to phone using this software 3) My pixi plus takes some time to detect other devices. But once detected, don't have any issues faced by u. 4) I think u can copy files directly to ur phone by connecting as USB drive. Check if all required drivers are present in ur pc

Those who are using Pixi plus, could you please post the output of the command "iptables -L"(command line)? I'm able to connect to my wifi router, but am unable to use internet. Just wanna nail down the root cause.

Thanks Muffy sir. U meant 1.4.5 universal? I tried that as well, but it bricked my phone. So, installed 1.4.1 again. But then, my wifi is broken. It worked fine with 1.3.5.1. I went to linux command line and did search through linux logs, but no trace of any wifi issue. It just says " cannot connect to internet" in /var/log/messages. I searched through other forums, but no luck. I actually use linksys wifi router at home, with WAP2 security enabled. I think changing it to WEP might help, but don't want to, as my connection was hacked using that earlier.

Well, battery life has been good with 1.4.1. Webos is also faster now. But have few issues: 1. Wifi doesn't work 2. I took a backup with prebackup utility before upgrading from 1.3.5.1. I did a restore and looks like it had screwed up my phone now. I want to degrade it to 1.3.5.1 again....to fix the issues.

I personally wouldn't suggest going for offers from indiatimes/timesofindia shopping. Few of my friends had bad experiences wherein they got defective pieces and never got a refund/replacement.

can someone post link for palm pixi plus 1.3.5.1 bypass rom plz....I couldn't find it on treo8. May be they removed it.

I've installed 1.4.1 for pixi plus today. I noticed something unusual. After the upgrade, I see memory free(device info -- available)as 3.1 GB. It shows total memory as 8GB correctly. However, if I go to linux command line(webosquickinstall--tools--linux commandline) and check, it shows ~7gb as free. Did anyone notice this? Rest of the functionality is great. Apps open up much faster than 1.3.5.

Why did u buy a wifi router frm tata? there are routers like linsys/dlink which are better than zyxel. Anyways, if this could be some help.. 1) Power off the router, 2) Hold down the recessed reset button on the rear of the unit (keep it held down) 3) Power on the router with the reset button still pressed down. 4) You will notice all the LAN lights flash at the same time which will indicate that the router has reset - this takes up to 30 seconds. 5) When all the LAN lights do flash simultaneously you can let go of the reset button. Your router is now reset. The default IP address is "192.168.1.1" and the default password is "1234". Above instructions are to reset the router to its factory defaults. If you are a novice in networking, i wouldn't suggest to do it.

Thanks for your support guys... I actually gave the mobile to a known mobile repair shop today morning. I just collected it. They said the phone earpiece(not the headset/jack)is bad and replaced it(500/-). The problem is now gone. I took back the defective ear piece(its a small chip kind of thing). It written "AAC 09112" at the back of the chip. one again, thanks parin, hitesh & mufaddal, for trying to help me out...

Hitesh bhai, my pixi is noisy. Even through the preferences--ineractives tests, i hear noise in the background. Its worse during calls. Do you think I got a damaged/refurbished handset? I've chatted with Palm's support executive and he says it could be a problem with the mic/speaker. What can be done now? please help.

well, its brand new phone and didn't put it in rain/water or anything. This seems to be a common problem with PIXI as per other forums. Any idea? do I ned to upgrade to web os 1.4?

i'm facing a strange issue on PIXI. I hear noice during voice calls. When the other person speaks, i hear some noice. However, my voice is clear to the other person. I tested the speaker phone and other sounds/music are fine. Its only during the voice calls i face this issue. Anyone else facing this problem?
