    Hi, I have successfully done the unlocking of Reliance Blackberry 8830 World Edition bought from WebWorld. The GSM is unlocked and i have tested using Airtel & Vodafone SIM. Works fine. There are many vendors on ebay.in who can do it for a fee. I got it done through one of them. But one trick Reliance has done which i want all of you to know. If you type *#06# to obtain your IMEI code, the code shown on the phone is not correct. The last digit is altered. Since unlocking GSM depends on IMEI number, this trick will render any unlocking attempts unsuccessful. To know the correct IMEI of your phone you need a software to read your IMEI directly from the handset. I am attaching the same. You can use it. BB_MepReader.zipInstrucctions.txt

    This news is correct. I just bought BB8830 for 18k at Reliance Webworld, Cunningham Road, Bangalore. This is a limited period offer but am not sure till when is this offer on. BB8130 pearl is available for 15k , BB8703 for 9K and BB8830 and Curve for 18k

    Hi All, Good News !!! International roaming is supported on Nokia 6265. You have to upgrade your RUIM Card with a new RUIM card available at any Web World. Your new RUIM Card should have the serial number beginning with 'RAX' . This identifies the card as a new v2 card which supports over the air PRL updation. With this new RUIM card the *228 PRL updation will work successfully and you will be ready to roam on CDMA using your Nokia 6265. Finally we have a big sigh of relief !!! I found this out after raising a complaint on the network people and also threatening them with consequences of selling me International Roaming without CDMA roaming on my phone. Once i raised a complaint, a Techie from the Network team called me in 10 mins and told me that the reason for PRL updation failing when i dial *228 is because i am using a old RUIM Card. I need to use the 'RAX' series RUIM card which allows over the air updation of PRL. Cheers !!!
