  1. I have both RUIM and GSM however every time i insert the sim. The phone still gives me the same message, "No Sim card, please insert a valid sim card". I am trting to use RSD lite to restore stock firmware and the wierd thing is that RSD lite is not able to detect the RAZR even when i put the phone in AP Fast boot. I am using Windows 8 x64 and Motorola drivers are properly installed. What am i doing wrong here ?
  2. Hi All, I flashed the stock 4.1.2 Rom using Matt's Droid Utility tool and post flash the device is unable to read any of my sim cards. I was able to use GSM sim on global mode without any issues earlier but now i am not sure what the problem is? Please help!
  3. Questions regarding handsets with Bad ESN

Really appreciate your inputs, thank you puneet_july30, ev1lb0ygen1us
  4. Hi All, I am curious regarding phones which are being sold for low prices on sites like Ebay in United States labeled as Bad ESN. What i have read so far is that a Bad ESN phone cannot be used in the same country as the carrier will Blacklist the ESN to be used in US. However, many users have confirmed that they were able to use the device outside the country. I wish if someone can clarify few questions based on the same topic. I apologize if some of these questions seems dumb as i don't have a better understanding of things when it comes to CDMA. 1. Is it possible to use such phones in a different country 2. If one can use it in a different country would that only apply to Global phones or any CDMA device 3. Is it even possible to get the MEID registered with a CDMA carrier in India for such phones 4. If its a Global phone with Bad ESN, can it be used for both CDMA and GSM or only GSM Will appreciate if someone can help me with above questions.
  5. Aircel joins 3G price war

No 3G coverage in Delhi i have been meaning to ditch Aircel for a long time and this adds one more reason to the cause.
  6. Hi All, I was hoping to find a solution to fix the Touchscreen issue on Motorola Droid 2 Global. It was working perfectly fine until i installed "Task Killer App" from PlayStore and suddenly the touchscreen went haywire and it started opening Menu and Apps on its own. In addition, the capacitive "Back" button stopped working. I did a factory reset and uninstalled all 3rd party apps however the issue still persist. Can someone please help me on how to fix this issue
  7. How to install stock ROM on Motorola Droid Razr?

    Use Droid RAZR Matt Utility
  8. Please suggest CDMA smartphone

For your second requirement since you will not be using the device for calling purposes, i would suggest you to buy a Tab instead of Smartphone. See if you can find a Samsung Galaxy CDMA Tab (Sprint is available easily in the mkt) and get your Data card number configured in the Tab. My cousin is using the same Tab with Reliance EVDO and trust me, its a great option if you want cost efficient 3G services on the GO
  9. Handset Launches - News Snippets

Making Patents for every design & tech and launching one model a year might provide an edge to Apple but in reality its no good for users as we all have different needs and different budget requirements. This is where brands like Samsung, HTC, LG & Nokia comes into picture. What they do is provide us variety products as per our requirements. P.S. I'm not an Apple Hater
  10. I used to own a Sidekick LX 2009 with working 3G and its swivel screen is kick ***. Nothing beats it in the world, when it comes to flip phones and its a total show off. Only let down is that it's OS was discontinued long time ago and was based on a cloud service which cannot be accessed from a different region except US.
  11. +1 for BB, go for Bold series as it has better battery backup and moderate specs as per your requirement.
  12. I hope Windows 8 App library will increase in the days to come. However, the only drawback is that older phones will not be compatible for an upgrade to Win8 OS
  13. Is TATA closing CDMA business?

I live in West Delhi and as per my experience CDMA Coverage for Tata Indicom in our area has reduced drastically in last 6 months. Earlier i used to get good network coverage but now the situation is that i have to move out of the house or to the roof to make a call. I'm using Tata since 2007 but never faced such issue until this year
