HTC One Max to be exclusive to Vodafone in the UK HTC officially announced its first phablet, the One Max today. The Taiwanese manufacturer did not reveal much about the availability and the pricing details of the phablet, but they are no longer a mystery. Vodafone will be getting exclusive access to the HTC One Max in the UK, where the phablet will be up for grabs later this week. The carrier offers the One Max with a 24-month Vodafone Red 4G-ready plan, charging you £49 upfront and £47 per month. The Red 4G plan comes with 2 GB of data a month and Spotify Premium or Sky Sports Mobile TV. We expect the carrier to offer a few more plans, but the pricing on the One Max on those is yet to be confirmed. As a promotional campaign, Vodafone is also increasing the data allowance of up to 6 GB for all its customers who sign up before October 31. The pricing set by Vodafone mean that the HTC One Max costs exactly as much as the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, which is the current phablet to beat. We are yet to see if the HTC device has what it takes to prevail in this battle.
  5. Tata DOCOMO Will Get 4.4 mhz GSM Spectrum in Delhi Circleby Sanjay Bafna on November 3, 2012 4:02 pm | TATA DOCOMO There is some good news for Tata DOCOMO GSM Mobile services users, Govt of India has decided that Tata Teleservices will be given 4.4 mhz 2G spectrum for GSM services (in the 1800 MHz band) in Delhi circle after the completion of the current 2G spectrum auction process. With this new development, Tata Teleservices will get 4.4 mhz of spectrum in Delhi & NCR circle, four years after having paid the required licence fee. The pending spectrum will be alloted to TTSL without either participating in the auction or paying the auction-determined price. Earlier in July 2011, the TDSAT had also hauled up the India’s Telecom Ministry for delaying the allocation of start-up 2G spectrum to Tata Teleservices in Delhi -NCR circle for more than three years. In November 2008, Tata Teleservices get pan-India license to operate GSM telecom services in 19 telecom circles out of 22 and has also been allotted spectrum in 18 telecom Circles, except Delhi. The company rolled out GSM services with brand name – Tata DOCOMO in all of these 18 telecom Circles in the quick span of just over a year. In 2007 – 2008, Telecom Minister A Raja granted 122 New licences and 35 Dual-technology Licences (UAS), there were three companies – Videocon, Uninor and TTSL (Tata Docomo) that could not get spectrum in the Delhi circle because of non-availability. So now we can expect commercial launch of Tata DOCOMO GSM Mobile services in Delhi circle in January 2013 or in first quarter of 2013.
