I am regd with DND since 2007. I still get a lot of spam. 2 kinds, 1. from the "text" numbers. Can't do much about it. Not even set up filters or special ring tones. In fact I had to disable vcard on my treo 755p, since it used to pop up an error every time there was a message from a text number. 2. the other is mostly from tour operators. They send a message from an X number and then ask to call a y number which is a part of the sms. These guys I have started spamming with y own smses every time I get a spam. Seriously, it should be put an end to.

This does not make any sense. Only a few months back they have sold separate 3G and BWA licenses for the 22 circles. If this was the intent then only pan India licenses should have been auctioned at least for 3G. Complete lack of strategy by GOI. Not that we should expect anything different.

One more offtopic. Sony's biggest revenue is not from Vaio or Bravia or Sony Pictures (lest we forget) ...it is PlayStation and the games that go with it.

Sadikk go for a diesel option if the extra cost you will pay for it justifies the fuel consumption rather than a CNG. I had changed my (3 year old) Indica to an LPG. Huge maintenance costs. Had to sell the car in 12 months. Calculate if it is worth it to go for diesel. Of course this would be in today's terms since you dont know how the gap between Petrol and Diesel will look like after say 2 years. Take the difference in cost of the car. Typically it is 1 lac more for the common rail deisel engine. But you will also get around 25-50K more when you sell a common rail diesel car. So spread say 60K of cost over 4 years and then see if the differnce in fuel savings is worth it. After 4 years higher maintenance will kick in for diesel cars which will again be approximately the amount you apportioned yearly above.

DSL_Unlimited_Combo_495 - 320 kbps + free land line. I think the IP changes everytime I switch the router on and off. I'll confirm again in a couple of days.

I have recently shifted to MTNL for my BB needs. They do not provide a static IP address. I was wondering if there is a software out there that can keep a log of my public IP address. I tried WAN IP Logger though there is a minor irritant. Windows Scheduler is not able to kill the task after it has run for X minutes. I don't want the software to run for perpetuity in the background. Just at certain intervals. Other than that, WAN IP Logger is exactly what I was looking for. Any other suggestions.

Companies are going for an overkill with all guns blazing in the pad market. I doubt it will be as lucrative as the high end smart phone market.

My sis has a GSM Corby Pro and mom has the CDMA Corby Speed. There is a ton of difference in the 2 touch screens. I am not sure if its a UI (software) issue or hardware issue. But the Corby Pro gives a much better experience.

What about Indian companies like Spice or the various Max brands? They are all Chinese handsets too.

Floppy... what? Are you serious they still make them. Must admit have had several painful instances of backup floppies going bad, so had to keep at least 2 or three sets of floppies for the same backup.

Correct I knew that part. But if you have used Corby Pro, then you will understand what I mean. You can actually drag icons from page to page in that. Seems only fair that Corby Speed should have that option.
