  1. Lets Ask Arun

Is there a way to see ALL the topics in date descending order? The same was it is setup on the rimweb.in homepage.
  2. I think Kaspersky is rated the best paid AV. I have not used it, but read several rating studies. I use free Home version of avast. I think it's quite decent - much lighter than McAfee. Also unlike the paid version of Symantec on my office laptop, it has never frozen or crashed. Combine an AV with an on-demand anti-malware like Super or Malwarebytes and a decent personal firewall (I use Comodo) and you should be set. All for FREE of course.
  3. More Evidence Of Htc Hero Coming On Sprint

Sadikkbhai are you planning to get this one for rimwebians? November is here.
  4. Fit By 2010

Looks like I am the only person still going. Anyone else still on??? Any how, this might be my second last post. Have reached 76 now. 1 more kilo to go.
  5. Buying New Car

Driving pleasure - i10 (Magna and above) beats all hands down (just bought one - there was a super discount too) Value for money - Indica Vista top end petrol. Most luxurious and spacious. No comparison here. I did not like the drive of Ritz at all so, so no comments. Though super roomy when compared to other Maruti cars. I felt the new Zen Estilo with the K series is much better to drive than Ritz - very peppy. Punto 1.2 is severely underpowered in 1st and 2nd gears to preserve fuel efficiency. Test drive it. A-Star the best looking of the lot (personal opinion) - Extremely small car though internally - No room in the car at all. Just take the drivers seat all the way back (I have to if I had to drive it) and you'll see what I mean.
  6. What about roaming? Can I use a prepaid from any other state in J&K while roaming. If YES. Then does it not defeat the whole purpose?
  7. That means the bluetooth "app" in Palm Treo is only to switch on and switch off BT. Receiving is inherently managed by Palm. But, to send anything your best bet would be to do it through RescoExplorer.
  8. If they are talking to Bharti, does it mean that it is not a CDMA only device?
  9. LG RD 3540

ye, pics and price details please.
  10. Lets Ask Htc For Better Open Sourced Ruim Handsets...

I am also of a similar view that we are too small a group for them to take cognizance. Plus in the US market, which I believe would be HTCs main CDMA market, I am not sure if they are all for the open market handset thing. No RUIM is the best possible thing to happen for the US carriers, since this way they can retain their customers longer.
  11. If you are able to PC sync the phone you can retrieve your contacts that way. I think as far as the screen goes, people have imported from ebay HK I think. Try that.
  12. Fit By 2010

Happy Diwali guys! Have reached 77 kgs. My target is 75 so only 2 more kilos to go. Chilled out this Diwali, bunked gym for 1 week plus ate some sweets here and there and still lost a kilo this week. Ye! How are you guys doing?
  13. Lost Icici Debit Card

From my past experience with a stolen debit card of ICICI I can tell you that I never recovered the money. Actually it was my sister's DC and she had got to someone's place during a pre-marriage function. She had kept her purse in a room during the mehendi. Someone stole her card and instantly made purchases the same day. My sister started to get purchase alerts on her cell phone and checked her purse and the card was missing. She called up the bank and cancelled the debit card, lodged FIR and followed up with ICICI for several months - the whole nine yards - to reverse the charges. Ultimately they never did. Better luck to you. Since you already have the telephone number, may be you have a better chance of catching the person.
  14. I agree. What audacity, first of all the connection is not provided and then he is billed for several months of use. Amazing. It sounds like one of the Office Office (Pankaj Kapur) stories.
  15. The All New Rimweb!

    Yup, see it now. Thanks.
  16. The All New Rimweb!

I am in FF too. I remember this problem has occurred some time earlier during this year as well. Then, Arun had changed the rimweb.in link to directly open the forums page rather than the homepage. But, since today I am seeing the homepage.
  17. The All New Rimweb!

Since today it is asking me to re-login every time I visit Rimweb.in, rather than taking me directly to the Forums page.
  18. Choosing A Television

I agree Sharp is considered a good buy world over in LCDs coming close to the Sony/Samsung panels.
  19. Choosing A Television

For some reason all the proponents of CRTs have neglected one thing that is the most valuable in Indian metros. LCDs and Plasmas outscore over CRTs on this big time. SPACE. Just by installing an LCDs instead of a CRTs I have freed up so much space in my house. Considering the floor area occupied by CRTs and the rates of property in Mumbai it should weigh in on your decision. Please do not reply by saying that there are Slim/SuperSlim TVs around. As far as I know, you cannot wall mount them.
  20. Samsung Intrepid Arriving On Sprint October 11 For $150

Isn't it because Samsung phones are difficult to cr*ck the reason why we don't have any Samsung phones imported?
  21. Wow looks too cool. Are the other high end Samsung phones like Omnia, WinMo or some proprietary Samsung OS? My uncle was planning to buy one and his office told him that their mail system will not be supported.
  22. Time To Change Your Passwords !

I use XMarks to sync all PWs in Firefox across PCs and sync bookmarks across PCs including IE.
  23. Mpower Muzik New Cdma Samsung Mobile

@mailmenav. Is this your first CDMA phone? I have not come across a CDMA phone that allows you to change time. Bought this fone for Uncle for 5750 from Alfa this weekend.
